🖊️ 15 minutes a day, 30 days, one biro, no erasing. Artist Richard Green kicked off his new blog series on the fundamentals of drawing with a challenge: draw for just 15 minutes a day, for 30 days, using nothing but a standard black biro - no pencil, no fixing mistakes as you go.

The rules are simple: draw only from life, any subject, contour lines only (no shading), and don't judge the results. Miss a day? No guilt, just pick back up where you left off. It's a brilliantly simple way to build the habit that underpins everything else in his series, from shape and value to texture and colour.

We were delighted to receive a £1,100 donation from Valley Art Group 🧡🎨

This was raised during their art exhibition in May in support of renal services at Southmead Hospital.

The funds came from a bucket collection, sales of cakes and refreshments, and a generous donation of 15% from painting sales. The group chose to support Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity following the care one of their members received from the renal team 💙
