Last week the local Brownies group had a wonderful visit to Abbeyfield House, Keynsham 🌿

With the lovely weather the group helped plant some new trees 🌱 The girls really enjoyed getting involved and learning a little about caring for the environment.

Afterwards, the Brownies spent time chatting with the residents, sharing stories and lots of smiles. It was lovely to see everyone connecting and enjoying each other’s company 💛

Mealtimes at Abbeyfield House, Redland are always something special 💛

Recently, residents came together to enjoy a selection of homemade dishes, including smoked mackerel pâté and delicious feta cheese, peach and basil pastries. 🐟🌿

Meals like this are about more than just food—they are an important part of daily life, bringing people together, creating a sense of community and encouraging conversation and connection.

The dishes also offered great nutritional value:

- Mackerel pâté provides omega-3 fatty acids for heart and brain health
- Feta cheese is a good source of calcium and protein
- Peaches and basil add vitamins, antioxidants, and freshness

By focusing on home cooking, we ensure meals are both nourishing and enjoyable, supporting wellbeing in a way that feels comforting and familiar.

It’s these shared moments around the table that truly make our houses feel like home 💛

We’re so excited to introduce Hannah Partridge, the new House Manager at Abbeyfield House, Henleaze 💙

Hannah has been part of the Abbeyfield Bristol & Keynsham family for over 11 years and for over the past decade, she has supported countless individuals and families, as Office Manager, as they explored life in an Abbeyfield house.

Now, Hannah is thrilled to step into the role of House Manager. With her wealth of experience and passion for people, she is dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming environment where residents feel heard, supported, and truly at home.

Hannah says:

“I’ve spent years speaking to prospective residents about the benefits of living in an Abbeyfield house, and I relished the opportunity to help them realise that in a more hands-on way. Being able to provide that listening ear and day-to-day caring presence is something I’m really passionate about.”

Please join us in giving Hannah a warm welcome—Abbeyfield House, Henleaze is in great hands! 👏

We had such a lovely time at the Hanham Common Fayre last Saturday!

The sun was shining, the atmosphere was brilliant, and our Abbeyfield Bristol & Keynsham stand was busy all day. It was great to chat with so many friendly faces from the community – thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello 😊

Our cakes were definitely a highlight (and didn’t last long!), so a big thank you to everyone who supported us.

We always enjoy being part of local events like this – such a fantastic day all round! 🌼
