Last night, the Black Mothers Matter team spent the evening celebrating Black History Month at Westminster, after being invited down by Mr Speaker, alongside so many brilliant Black activists, musicians, artists, writers and all-round Black excellence 🖤✨

It felt SO special to have the work we do recognised, to be in a room filled with so much brilliance, and to take a moment to step back, celebrate and enjoy it all! So often, we’re busy “doing the work” that we don’t always stop to acknowledge just how far we’ve come. Last night was a reminder that the work matters, our community matters, and we deserve to celebrate that!
