We recently welcomed 1st 67th Kingswood Scout Group and Historic England for a special walk around Mangotsfield and Staple Hill.

The scouts learned about:
• the history of local landmarks like Alderman Arther Page’s house, Page Park and the local tram network at WDM
• what the high street looked like in the past

They also earned a badge for their efforts! 🏅

The walk is a great example of how the new wayfinding posts make it easier for residents and visitors to find their way around and highlight our unique local heritage and points of interest.

A big thank you to everyone who took part!

The wayfinding project is funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, administered by the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority.

We’ve had some amazing visitors over the last few weeks! With thanks to both Great Western Air Ambulance Charity and British Association of Shooting & Conservation for coming and talking to our cubs! They had a great time learning about conservation and the Air Ambulance!
