67th Kingswood Scout Group

What an incredible few weeks for our Cubs and Scouts! 🚀

From an action-packed visit to the Tank Museum to an unforgettable camp filled with exciting activities, adventure and teamwork, our young people have had amazing opportunities to learn new skills, build confidence and create memories that will last a lifetime. 🌟

None of this would be possible without the fantastic support of our amazing volunteers, local community, and we’d like to say a huge THANK YOU to Emersons Green Town Council for helping make these experiences happen. Your support continues to make a real difference to young people in our area. 💚

🌟 Got 90 minutes a week? You could make a big impact.

At 67th Kingswood (1st Mangotsfield) Scout Group, we’re looking for new volunteers to help young people build Skills for Life.

You don’t need any experience — just enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved.

Whether it’s:
🏕 Helping with activities
🔥 Supporting adventures
🤝 Being a positive role model

You’ll be making a real difference — and probably having a lot of fun too.

We recently welcomed 1st 67th Kingswood Scout Group and Historic England for a special walk around Mangotsfield and Staple Hill.

The scouts learned about:
• the history of local landmarks like Alderman Arther Page’s house, Page Park and the local tram network at WDM
• what the high street looked like in the past

They also earned a badge for their efforts! 🏅

The walk is a great example of how the new wayfinding posts make it easier for residents and visitors to find their way around and highlight our unique local heritage and points of interest.

A big thank you to everyone who took part!

The wayfinding project is funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, administered by the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority.

We’ve had some amazing visitors over the last few weeks! With thanks to both Great Western Air Ambulance Charity and British Association of Shooting & Conservation for coming and talking to our cubs! They had a great time learning about conservation and the Air Ambulance!
