To celebrate less than a month to go until Moving On 2026 we have put up a display in the old Tourist Information Centre's window all about this year's Parade and our theme "Absolute Legends". 🪅

With our beautiful posters by Emma Carlow and an amazing bird by artist Sandrine Case. Inspirational myth and legends artwork by local artists which inspired the year 6 children when designing their costumes. 🦤

A big thank you to Bags of Books who have lent us some beautiful books all about myths and legends for the window display. You can buy all these lovely books in their shop! 📚

Our super popular free storytelling event is back this year on Friday 3rd July in the Paddock from 6.30pm until 9.30pm.

Come along and listen to some amazing stories, grab a drink or two from the bar and soak up the atmosphere. There will also be a chance to see some of the Moving On artwork.

Only a month to go until the 2026 Moving On Parade! Make sure you're around in Lewes to see the Year 6 children take on the streets on Lewes. This year's theme is 'Absolute Legends'.

Our beautiful poster by local artist, Emma Carlow illustrates some of the local and not so local myths and legends the local schools will be taking on.

What a fantastic day at Patina’s Dream Team Tournament at Lewes Football Club's iconic Dripping Pan on Wednesday 6th May! ⚽🏆

Sixteen teams of Year 5 and 6 children from across the Lewes area came together to compete for the Patina Cup in a day full of energy, teamwork and community spirit.

This year’s Moving On theme is “Absolute Legends” and the teams certainly delivered with some brilliant names including the Centaur Forwards, Little Legends, Hercules Heroes and Thor’s Hammers!

We were delighted to welcome Mayor Councillor Emily Clarke, who joined us for the event and presented the Patina Cup to this year’s champions, Spartan Strikers, following a thrilling 1-0 final victory over Minotaur FC. Congratulations to both teams for an incredible final! 👏

A huge thank you to our wonderful MC for the day, Shoutyman, Town Crier Jon Borthwick, who kept the atmosphere buzzing throughout the tournament.

We were also incredibly lucky to have Sports Leaders from Priory School supporting the tournament by refereeing matches and keeping scores throughout the day — they did a brilliant job and helped everything run smoothly. 👏

Visitors also enjoyed our volunteer-run café and raffle, with generous prizes donated by GAIL’s, Lewes FC, Inter Sport of Lewesand Harvey's Brewery — thank you for your support!

We are especially grateful to Lewes FC for allowing us to use the pitch and facilities and for helping make the day such a success.

Finally, thank you to all of the volunteers, Patina Reps, supporters and organisers who gave their time and enthusiasm to make the tournament possible — with special thanks to our volunteer Tournament Manager Sauro Scarpelli and Shrey Nilvarna at Lewes FC.

It's almost time for Patina's Dream Team football tournament this Wednesday 6th May 4-7.30pm ⚽️

We will find out who is this year's winner of the Patina cup! 16 teams will battle it out at Lewes FC's Dripping Pan 🏆🥇

Spectators are most welcome! £5 an adult, children go free. The cafe will be serving throughout and there is a great raffle! 🥅

Patina's legendary football festival for year 5 and 6 children is less than 2 weeks away! ⚽️

Come along on Wednesday 6th May between 4-7.30pm to cheer on the amazing teams and raise money for this year's Moving On Parade!

£5 an adult and children go free!

There will be cafe selling hot dogs (meat and veggie), cakes and hot and cold drinks. We will also have a raffle.
