Project Success! Massive Tank!

At the bottom of the mountain we successfully built another water tank which this time is huge! The Maasai people were in awe in how huge it was as they came to collect water!

It took 2 weeks to build this magnificent thing, which is connected to the dam which we repaired the previous week in the mountain. We camped 3 weeks in total with the Maasai in the bush, working together to make this project a success!

We also built a garden in collaboration with Plant Tree's Africa, through Sidney Spooner So much thanks to him and his team🫶

We had rain, blistering heat, materials running out, which we had to call the local village to bring us 600 buckets of small stones on 3 different occasions by tractor just so we could finish this project in time! It had its challenges, but we did it!

With much thanks to Mosses Oletaolo Daudi for being a great organiser and Juan Francisco Stafford once again for his incredible hard work.

And not to forget all the Maasai and young warriors that came everyday to help and build this Tank for the greater good for their families and future families for many generations to come!

And to you all wonderful people that donate to make this all possible, thankyou

ALALA Water Project 2025!

So where to start with this incredible project! 💧

A project where we succeeded once again to provide water for the Maasai people 🙏 There are so many magical moments during this 3 week project spent in the bush of the Maasai land. That i found it hard to compress them all into one post. So i decided to share it in two parts! The repair of the dam and the construction of the Tank.

This was Week 1, the week of repairing the dam that had collapsed almost over 20 years ago! Causing the Maasai to struggle during droughts and dry seasons as they would have no choice but to travel else where in search of water.

With it repaired, and the incredible help of Juan Francisco Stafford and his building skills, surviving torrential rain and tests, the dam never collapsed and will hold for many generations to come!
