Very excited to announce that we have received funding from fairness fund and will be running some LGBTQI+/QTIPOC Sunday Sessions Build Brighton starting from next Sunday 10th May (11am-2pm) at our plot at Natal Road, Moulsecoomb allotment.

These monthly sessions are very much about offering a safe space for the community and allies to turn up as you are and engage with the land - to learn, share, play, rest, just be - whatever you need at that time.

Free to attend and a simple lunch and surplus produce available at each session (booking required so we know how many to cook for! Link in bio 👆)

What a lovely way to spend a Sunday ✨ at Cross-generational Growing & Creative Sessions in collaboration with .purpose each session begins by tending to the land in some way from sewing seeds, to cleaning beds ready to later plant up (and everything in between) followed by a nature inspired creative activity this months was cyanotypes… what should we do next?

A glorious way to spend our Sunday with our first collaboration session between and at Natal Road, Moulsecoomb allotment plot - time really did fly!

These ‘Cross Generational Community Growinh Sessions’ will be continuing every month until then end of the summer season giving a real chance to work with and experience the land throughout from gardening and growing through to a series of creative sessions engaging with the things on the site… watch this space for more details about these and other sessions happening on the site in 2026!

Very excited to 2026 ✨ it is going to be a year of collaboration continuing to work the land and watch the new plot transform through the seasons from built installations, through to flowers for dying and print making and of course food to either harvest and take away or use in our lunches!

Our collaboration begins with the making of this zine with design by founder of WBB and wonderfully playful illustrations by they are amazing!

Also so far we have collaborated with the q***r food group .mesa.events which we hope to do again later this year, we plan to run some more well being sessions and starting on Sunday 29th March .purpose will be launching their generational community growing sessions (link to book in bio!) and more to follow - watch this space!

Only two more Sunday Seasons left of 2025 - where does the time go. Things are certainly starting to shift into winter mode this week but there’s still plenty to do ready for next year!

To book your place at one of our final sessions (Sun 23rd Nov / 7th Dec) book via website 👆and get your harvest in ready for the winter season or make a wreath or other decorations or our much loved edible bouquets ✨

Plus they’ll be a warm lunch and chance to dream up plans for the future! Watch this space…

After only 3 sessions it is amazing how much is changing already not only with the seasons but also how much can be achieved in just a few hours working together!

And so we begin with our first of many Sunday Sessions… and a magical community is already forming ✨

Taken at the end of session with fully bellies and hearts from time well spent together “humaning” on the land and leaving with happy faces and unexpected treasures from the day including forced rhubarb, rosemary, bay, blackcurrant cuttings to try and grow at home along with bouquets of blackthorn for its beautiful blossom!

Nettles, celery tops, sorrel, spinach, parsley, corriander, fennel seeds, wild cress, leek, red cabbage, kohlrabi and chickpeas… what would you make with this bounty?!
