Puzzled Pint Brighton

Can we host Puzzled Pint Brighton in your pub? We are looking for venues for coming months (2nd Tuesday of month).

Puzzled Pint is non-profit monthly puzzle event which runs in 90 cities in the world. It’s just for fun: participants are not charged, and organisers are volunteers. Customers come to your bar, order food and drinks and complete puzzles (logic, crosswords, codes) at their tables at their own speed. It’s NOT like a pub-quiz – there is nobody reading out questions. We don't want a reserved space – puzzlers just mix in with other customers – you might only notice them when they order drinks. Everyone is welcome to do the puzzles, and we often get other customers asking what we're doing and joining in.

We change venues monthly. This year we have run this in: Robin Hood, Walrus, World’s End, Fortune of War, Old Albion, Alcampo Lounge, Southern Belle, Temple Bar, and we tend to get about 20 people.

I thought it was a lovely evening in the Southern Belle last night. We had 17 puzzlers in 6 teams - slightly lower that recent months but a great turnout and good to see a mixture of regulars and new people.
As ever, next one will be in a new venue - not yet booked, so Suzanne and I will be putting on our thinking caps to find some good new venues. Ideas on that are welcome.

It was a really run evening at the Alcampo Lounge tonight for the August event.
And I now know who Orville Peck is!
We had 22 puzzlers in 7 teams. I thought the venue worked well (loads of space) and the food was tasty too.
We've now visited 6 different venues since we started in February - if you know of any others which would work well, please let me know.

The 15th Anniversary event went well last night in The Old Albion. We had 27 puzzlers, spread over 9 teams (our most ever), with most finishing the meta. Great to see some new faces there.
Looking forward to next month's event (2nd Tuesday of month, as ever) which will be at another new venue. More news to come.

I have not done either of these before, but might be of interest if you're into Puzzled Pint.

glyph is an online puzzle hunt! It consists of a series of puzzles of varying difficulty. It takes place over two days, but you’ll have time to sleep in between! Outside of the event, our previous puzzles are still able to be viewed, so feel free to get stuck in!

Great to have 19 puzzlers at last night's event. The venue seemed to work out well. If you found the PriceIsRight and Knightmare (bonus) puzzles tricky you were not alone - the global feedback indicated that a lot of teams needed hints for those.

The July event is next, which is the special 15th Anniversary event - with 'special surprises' - more details to follow.

It was good to see people at last night's event, and all teams finished the puzzles which I thought were relatively tricky. We had 18 people across 5 teams.

A global perspective: we are no longer the planet's newest Puzzled Pint location - a Chennai group started last night.

I'm already looking forward to next month (another new venue).

Further into the future: a reminder that July's event is the 15-year anniversary puzzle-set. We are promised something 'special' over and above the t-shirts which are available online. I'm as much in the dark about this as you, so we'll wait and see.
