At 7pm, the Lido belongs to the creatures of the night.

The Ballroom will slip into something much darker, with eerie corners, dramatic decorations and a killer soundtrack ready to pull everyone onto the dancefloor.

The bar is getting involved too, with a limited-edition Halloween cocktail joining the usual drinks for one gloriously unhinged night. Then there’s the fancy dress competition. Come as a glamorous ghoul, a dead disco diva, something genuinely horrifying or something completely ridiculous.

Expect cocktails, costumes, big music and grown-up Halloween mischief until late.

Swing, jive and stroll your way through an afternoon of 1940s and 1950s music.

Expect jump jive, doo-wop, R&B, rock ’n’ roll, western swing and a Ballroom full of people who know exactly what to do when the beat kicks in.

Vintage dressing is very much encouraged, so this is the moment for swing dresses, sharp suits, fedoras and shoes capable of surviving four hours on the dancefloor.

Calling all little witches, wizards, ghosts and ghouls! 🎃🏮

Join us at Saltdean Lido this half-term for an afternoon of Halloween lantern decorating.

Children can let their imaginations run wild as they decorate their very own spooky lantern using plenty of colourful decorations, then take it home to add a little Halloween glow to the evening.

Join us for the first of our weekly lunchtime piano concerts on our brand-new grand piano, beginning with the brilliant, world-renowned pianist Berniya Hamie.

Brighton-born Berniya will warm up the keys with a vibrant 45-minute programme of solo classical music in our Ballroom.

A BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist, Berniya has performed at the BBC Proms, Wigmore Hall, the Royal Albert Hall and Festival Hall. She is also a founding member of the award-winning Astatine Trio and has upcoming performances at Hamburg’s Laeiszhalle and with the BBC Symphony Orchestra.

A rather lovely way to spend a Wednesday lunchtime in one of Brighton’s best-looking rooms.

Make an afternoon of it with lunch, coffee or cake at Reading Room at Saltdean Lido before or after the concert.

Our volunteer-led Dogtember got off to a pawfect start, with thousands of dogs and humans from across the UK taking the plunge!

The 5pm Quiet Sessions are now sold out apart from:
