A Woman's Place Is in the Struggle - Book Launch event sponsored by Manifesto Press.

Women have always fought. Orgreave. Dagenham. Greenham. Schools. Hospitals. Trico factory. We organised. We led. Sometimes we won.
This new project brings together women writers, activists and fighters. Not just to feel seen – but to fight class struggle. Plain and simple.
We'll talk about the past, the present, and where we go next. What worked. What didn't. How we keep going. And how we pass this on to the younger women walking into union meetings for the first time.

We were pleased to present our Miners Lamp Award to two outstanding groups of trade unionists at our AGM last night.

The GMB members at Royal Pavilion and Museums and the BMA Resident Doctors.

The lamp was awarded to us by Kent Area NUM in 1985 in recognition of our solidarity during the Great Strike. Each year we make an award in its name to people who have made an outstanding contribution to the trade union movement in the past year.
