Our Sansar is a UK charity providing education, shelter and welfare to the most disadvantaged girls and boys in Nepal for whom little or no help is forthcoming. Our work is focused on Province 2 where there are no other organisations providing the same type of assistance to street children or other children needing emergency support. We were established in 2009 to help the hundreds of children, pr

imarily boys aged between 3 and 16, who live on the street in the regions of Nepal bordering India, after being abandoned due to poverty and abuse. We have now expanded our operations to also assist more children who have experienced neglect, abuse, child labour and girls who have been victims of trafficking, r**e, violence and other trauma. Our main current projects include:

- Children's Home in Parwanipur
- Child Helpline and Outreach Programme in Birgunj
- Children's Protection Programme in Janakpur (Safe House for Girls run in collaboration with Pipal Tree)
- End to Child Labour Project in Rautahat

The children took part in cleaning activities to make their surroundings safer and healthier.

By clearing bushes, waste, and unused corners, the children helped reduce risks from 🐍 poisonous snakes and 🦟 harmful insects, creating a cleaner and safer space for everyone.

This activity is part of our ongoing work within the Children’s Home Programme, supporting children’s well-being, safety, and personal development.

Our Vocational Training Career Program on Health Assistant engaged 1️⃣0️⃣7️⃣ students: 65 girls and 42 boys from Shree Jay Kishan School, Darahari 🇳🇵

Organised within our Careers Counselling Project, the session opened pathways to careers in the health sector and inspired students toward skill based learning and future opportunities.

Through our recent collaboration with Our Sansar, we proudly expanded access to learning resources across Rautahat, reaching 480 students in 8 schools across 7 municipalities with Educase bags.

Our Sansar works to support vulnerable children in Nepal focusing on providing holistic support that considers every aspect of a child’s wellbeing.

Because every child deserves an accessible learning environment where they can grow, learn, and dream without barriers.

Violence is not a private matter — it affects entire communities. Creating a safe, respectful society starts with 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲.

In our recent community programme, we spoke about 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬, 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐢𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝. Girls and young survivors were encouraged to 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐮𝐩, 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞.

Real change begins when all of us refuse to tolerate violence. Let’s build a culture where 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐠𝐢𝐫𝐥 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐮𝐩 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐨𝐦.

⭐ Proudly celebrating the wonderful achievement of Suyash who passed the 10th board exam with outstanding marks! His hard work and determination brought this success!

Suyash is 15 years old and lives in our children’s home which is located in Parwanipur, a small village in 🇳🇵 Nepal.

There are 18 happy boys living here. The boys go to school, enjoy delicious food in a nurturing homely environment and get various extra-curricular activities such as computer classes, guitar, dance and cricket. We grow our own organic vegetables, keep chickens for eggs and provide older boys with work experience placements to make sure that the project is sustainable.

Our teachers have just started their Montessori training and we are SO excited for what this means for our children.

More creativity.
More confidence.
More hands-on learning.
Less fear in the classroom. ❤️

Wait… WHAT?! 👀

He just showed up in Nepal after 10 YEARS…

Dr Harry is BACK ❤️

Last time we saw him, we were running a post-earthquake transit home in Dhading.
Now? He walks into our children’s home in Parwanipur like no time has passed…

Except everything has. New projects. New children. Bigger impact. Same Harry 😄

And he didn’t come to “visit”… He came to get stuck in:
👉 Training our team
👉 Health checks for the boys
👉 And completely spoiling the kids 🤭
We’re talking:
Swimming pools. Skating. Playgrounds. And… honestly… an unacceptable amount of ice cream 🍦😅

10 years later — straight back into changing lives.

So we sat down. On the ground. In the middle of the community. And listened. Because no real change starts from an office. Families in Rautahat don’t need handouts. They need opportunities that actually work. So we’re starting there.

Mushroom farming.

Low cost. Fast income. Real potential.

This is how change really happens — not to communities, but with them.

“Where do I study?”

For many of our children in Rautahat, that’s not a simple question. Most live in small mud huts with no space to sit, write, or focus. So we found something that could change that.

These school bags from 🎒…turn into study tables.

Now, every child has a desk — wherever they are. A bag that becomes a classroom.
A small change that means everything. ❤️

We’re starting from zero.

No classrooms before.
No school routines.
No experience of learning.

For many of our new children in Rautahat, this is their very first time in school. So we’re not rushing into textbooks…

We’re starting with something more important: helping them fall in love with learning.
Art 🎨
Sports ⚽
Maths ➕
English 📚

At first, even the basics take time — getting to school on time, sitting in a classroom, listening to a teacher.

But something incredible is already happening…

They’re smiling.
They’re curious.
They’re enjoying it.

And that’s where everything begins. Because when a child discovers the joy of learning, it doesn’t just change their future… It can change generations. 🌱
