Our annual survey always brings valuable comments… here’s one with ‘holiday season’ in mind… pics: Mix of our ‘All-Ages’ + ‘Elder Care Home’ ride services.

‘My daughter has profound and multiple learning disabilities, which means finding inclusive activities for our whole family incredibly difficult. Her care needs are high, and most outdoor activities aren’t accessible for her. That’s why Pedal People has made such a difference to us. Their All-Ages service is the only activity where my daughter, my son (who doesn’t have additional needs) and I can all enjoy time together as a family. It’s truly inclusive, well-supported, and thoughtfully run. As a carer, the holidays can be especially tough—often isolating, with little respite or support. The time we spend on the trike isn’t just great for my children; it also lifts a real weight from me. It gives us all a chance to relax, connect and make happy memories together.’

Alan, 93: ‘I really did enjoy it. It was out of this world!’ As a former gardener with council Parks we photographed him next to a flower bed at the lagoon. Volunteers Theresa & Jackie cycled out with him plus Andrew, both first-timers on our Elder Care Home Ride service. This service is crewed by our Volunteer Cycle-Pilot team.

Our All-Ages service has both side-by-side tandems like these or the ‘can upfront’ option in the other pics.

First time ride for David 28 yrs (last pic) too, with his newly trained ‘Carer-Pilot’ Max. All-Ages & disabilities can book direct for this service online and we train carers/family to pilot on this service.

Trike naming & ribbon cutting! 2 replacement trikes -Elder Care rides. Joy of bringing their 4- wheelers to join our 3-wheelers! 50 supporters, crew with elders cutting the ribbons! 🎀 thanks to The Temple cafe for support 🙏
Epic thanks to for being our first ever full funder of a whole trike! & donors for 2nd trike.

Elder Care rides go out in pairs so we needed to replace both worn out trikes together!

4000 rides a year with super lean staff of just 2 fulltime and 50 volunteers makes it happen, only with community support.

Side-by-side tandems or trike with upfront- seat are both available on our ‘All-Ages’ service, bookable online for anyone with disabilities. Runs in parallel to our ‘Elder Care Home’ service. Suitable for post stroke, head injury, complex needs & much more. Therapeutic, stimulating exercise & outdoor activity for all ages . Pls share.
