This Sunday saw scout groups from across the Bridgend District come together for a fantastic St George's Day parade and service.

A fab opportunity to highlight the importance of Scouting for the young people, leaders, helpers, tea makers, subs collectors and all others who support the running of Scouting within Bridgend District.

Last week saw 1st Pen-y-Fai Scouts host a wonderfully festive Christmas Fayre, bringing together active Scouting and the local community. Several local businesses and charity stalls attended, and a great time was had by all.
✨ Speaking to attendees and volunteers, the sense of community spirit shone through:

“It’s so important to give back to the community.”

“Scouting really boosts confidence and is a good way of meeting new people.”

“I just love having a browse at all the stalls and seeing what’s on offer.”

“I’m always willing to help the Scouts as they’ve given opportunities to children.”

“I feel proud to be a scout and help out when I'm able"

The Fayre not only raised funds for future Scouting activities but also strengthened the bonds between Pen-y-Fai Scouts and the wider community. Volunteers spoke proudly of the teamwork that made the event possible, from decorating the hall to running games and raffles
The event was filled with carols and laughter, leaving everyone looking forward to next year’s celebrations.
