🏍️❤️ Wales Round Ribbon 2026 – Thank You! ❤️🏍️

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the Wales Round Ribbon 2026.

This year’s event was made possible by 43 incredible volunteers across 8 locations throughout Wales, who worked tirelessly all day to create a fun, welcoming, and memorable experience for everyone involved. Your dedication and hard work do not go unnoticed, and we are truly grateful.

It was wonderful to see so many bikers out enjoying the day, catching up with familiar faces, and meeting new friends from across the biking community.

Most importantly, thank you for supporting Dave’s Defib. Every pound raised helps us continue our mission of supplying and installing lifesaving defibrillators at biker locations across Wales.

While the final figures are still being calculated and will be announced over the coming days, early indications show that the event has raised enough funds for at least two new defibrillators, with the possibility of funding a third unit as well.

We are incredibly grateful for every donation, no matter how big or small. As always, 100% of the funds we receive go directly towards purchasing and installing defibrillators, helping to make Wales a safer place for riders and local communities alike.

From all of us at Dave’s Defib, thank you for your support, generosity, and for being part of something that truly saves lives.

❤️‍🔥 In Loving Memory of Loraine ❤️‍🔥

It is with immense sadness that we share the heartbreaking news that our beautiful friend, Loraine, passed away just a few hours ago on the evening of Saturday 30th May.

We are devastated by this loss. Loraine was a much-loved member and representative of our Ride Like A Girl family and worked tirelessly to support both Ride Like A Girl and Dave’s Defib. She was also a dedicated ambassador for Make Your Mark Charity, giving her time, energy and heart to causes that helped so many people.

Loraine was one of those rare people who simply couldn’t say no when someone needed help. Her kindness, generosity and unwavering support touched countless lives. Whether it was organising, volunteering, fundraising, encouraging others or simply being there when someone needed a friend, Loraine always showed up.

The world feels a little dimmer without her in it, and our community will never be quite the same. We will miss her deeply and are truly lost for words.

Our thoughts, love and deepest condolences go to her husband Graham, her two sons, and all of her family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.

Thank you, Loraine, for everything you gave to us and to so many others. Your legacy of kindness, friendship and service will never be forgotten.

Hello world, only 2 sleeps till Round Ribbon day. Hope you all had a great Friday as we go into the weekend. Get all your chores done tomorrow. All the jobs your partner has saved up for you so we can all go riding on Sunday and raise some cash for more Defibs to help save bikers lives.
2 sleeps, it's like waiting for Christmas. 🤣🧑‍🎄

3 days to gooooo ❤️❤️❤️

Hello, 3 sleeps left until the big day so I thought Id take the opportunity to answer the 3 questions we get asked the most.
1. How much of your £10 registration fee goes to the charity?
A. All of it. all costs are met by the venues you will be visiting and the WRR charity itself.
2. How does the event work.
A. You purchase a stamp card at your start venue and obtain a starting Sticker. You visit 4 other venues of your choice and obtain a sticker at each. You then return to your start point and obtain your 6th and final sticker. Your card will be punched and you will be presented with your commemorative ribbon.
3. How did the Round RIbbon begin?
A. It all started when Ian Marquis of the Owls Nest came up with the original idea and approached me and Ty with the now infamous line of "Ive got an idea for you two". I should have run away but I was intrigued and now, 3 years later and over £20k raised so far, here we are again arranging another one.

So thats the 3, if you have any more come find us on the day and ask away.

This years Wales Round Ribbon is in support of Dave's Defib, a Grassroots initiative aiming to enable better access to public AED's (defibrillators) in key locations such as rural meeting points, popular riding routes, and Cafe's.

Their work is invaluable, and is only made possible by the generosity of the public, which is why Wales Round Ribbon want to raise these vital funds for them to support their ongoing mission.

By signing up, you are not only helping raise funds for Dave's Defib to install more AED's, you are also visiting cafe's and supporting local businesses who sign up to cover the costs of the ribbons and registration cards, so that your registration fee can go straight to Dave's Defib.

A change in date makes it even better for us and many of our volunteers plus it gives more of a chance of good weather for the day ☺️

As we prepare for the next 2 new installations, we would like to give a huge Thank You to our very own electrician who works quietly behind the scenes for us installing the majority of our Defibs.

Ryan Milton does all of this for us at no charge, meaning we get to utilise all of our fundraising money wholly on AED units allowing us to stretch the money so much further.
