🚨A message from Public Health Wales🚨
With the UK set to see extreme temperatures this week, please read the advice from Public Health Wales below 👇
☀️ Stay Safe in Hot Weather
Stay indoors or in the shade where possible, especially between 11am–3pm.
Avoid strenuous activities during the hottest part of the day.
Wear light, loose clothing, a hat and sunglasses, and apply SPF 30+ sunscreen with UVA protection.
Drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol, caffeine, and sugary drinks.
🏠 Keep Your Home Cool
Close curtains and blinds in direct sunlight.
Open windows when it is cooler outside, particularly at night.
Turn off unused lights and electrical appliances.
Use fans when temperatures are below 35°C.
❤️ Look After Others
Check on family, friends, neighbours and anyone vulnerable.
Never leave children, older people or pets in parked cars.
💊 If You Have a Health Condition
Continue taking prescribed medication unless advised otherwise.
Store medicines according to the instructions.
🤒 If You Feel Unwell
Move to a cool place and rest.
Drink cool fluids and tell someone how you feel.
