❤️THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! ❤️
I’m not even sure where to start with the thank you’s but I’ll try my best to cover everyone.
Powys Christmas Toy Appeal managed to deliver:
🎁 147 toy parcels to children in Brecon, Crickhowell, Hay, Builth and Llandrindod, which all included a new pair of pyjamas, toothbrush and toothpaste, along with many toys and books of interest. All donated by our community.
🥘 33 Christmas dinners. (With many people we had to turn down due to illness of original chef). I will do a seperate post for this as it needs it.
A special thank you and shout out goes to the following:
Abbi Barrowman collected parcels from Crickhowell.
The Old Electric Shop in Hay for also being a donation point.
Bonnie Ed for embracing the appeal this year and smashing it with collections, especially being so young.
Spar/Pendre Post Office Bryn-de-Winton Brecon Mark Jones for not only being a donation point but also hosting our secret Santa which allowed us to collect for the elderly and lonely too. I think I cost Mark a fortune in lollies, which he gave to every child who came in with a present to donate. 🙈
Compact Orbital Gears who did another amazing collection for us, there were so many donations!
Tŷ-Mawr Lime Ltd. Gervis and team For being a donation point in Brecon and collected some fabulous gifts but were very intrigued by the person who left us the toilet seat!! 🤦🏻♀️
The Little Pink Tree- Katie joined us again this year as a donation point and collected some awesome toys.
Pearce from Morrisons in Brecon who donated selection boxes.
Tesco in Llandrindod who also donated selection boxes meaning every child had a selection box.
and Jones Opticians, Llandrindod Elena Jones who were also a donation point and also hosted the secret Santa which included presents for every person who had a meal today. We were overwhelmed that we collected over 100 gifts from them.
Beacons Farm Shop at The Welsh Venison Centre who donated a real Christmas tree complete with decorations and lights, this made the Dad in this family cry, happy tears as he watched his 2 and 4year old decorate the tree.
Chapters Restaurant who stepped in at very last minute to cook the scrumptious meals for today but I will do a seperate post for this.
Sue, Katie, Lemise and Philippa who gave up their time today to deliver our Christmas dinners.
I would also like to give a HUGE thank you and shout out to you, the public, our community 🥰. The team work from you all has allowed us to ensure that those families who thought Christmas was not going to happen this year, will happen, and it’s only happening because we all pulled together and helped. We made it happen. ❤️
Your donations will allow children to have a clean, warm pair of pyjamas to wear Christmas night, a tooth brush and paste to clean off all that chocolate that was donated, the toys will allow the children to laugh and play like children should and the beautiful books will allow them to drift off into an imaginative world where they can forget about any troubles and worries. This is all because of YOU GUYS! ❤️🥰
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Thank you for getting behind me and helping me to make sure we close that gap on poverty. ❤️ Over the next day or so I will share some of the thank you messages.
❤️I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. ❤️
🥰❤️🎄🎁Nadolig Llawen. 🥰🎄❤️🎁
