🌱 Tyfu’n lleol, tyfu’n gryfach 🌱

Mae defnyddio hadau tarddiad lleol yn rhan allweddol o helpu natur i ffynnu wrth i’r argyfwng hinsawdd a natur barhau 💚

Ddydd Llun 9 Mawrth, aethom â rhai o’n partneriaid o’r Bartneriaeth Natur Leol i ymweld â Celtic Wildflowers i weld eu gwaith gwych yn agos – o dyfu hadau lleol, i gyfrannu at adfer natur, ac i ddatblygu dulliau arloesol o dyfu mwsogl Sphagnum ar gyfer adfer mawndiroedd a storio carbon 🌿

Diwrnod gwych o ddysgu, rhannu syniadau a chyfnewid gwybodaeth – gyda digon o ysbrydoliaeth i bawb! ✨

🌱 Growing local, growing resilient 🌱

Using locally sourced seed is a big part of helping nature thrive in the face of the climate and nature emergency 💚

On Monday 9 March, we took some of our Local Nature Partnership friends to Celtic Wildflowers to see their brilliant work up close – from growing local provenance seed, to supporting nature recovery, and even developing innovative ways to grow Sphagnum moss for peatland restoration and carbon storage 🌿

A great day of learning, sharing ideas and swapping knowledge – with plenty of inspiration all round! ✨

Nature conservation isn’t always glamorous — sometimes it looks like a team huddled in the pouring rain, debating the best future for a valley.

Yesterday our LNP team headed out with partners STUMP UP for TREES - To plant a million trees in the Brecon Beacons, The Wye and Usk Foundation, Woodland Trust Cymru and the Usk Catchment Partnership to explore the next steps in our National Forest project. Together, we’re working to strengthen natural flood defences and connect fragmented woodland so wildlife can move more freely across the landscape.

A big part of this work is collaborating with farmers. By making sure the right trees are planted in the right places, we can boost biodiversity while also supporting livestock that graze the hillsides. It’s about creating a healthier, more resilient landscape that works for nature and people.

🌿 Follow along over the next 18 months as we bring this vision to life and continue to enhance the valley for people and biodiversity.

Nid yw cadwraeth natur bob amser yn wych nac yn ddisglair — weithiau mae’n edrych fel tîm wedi crynhoi yng nghanol glaw torrential, yn trafod y dyfodol gorau i ddyffryn.

Ddoe, aeth ein tîm LNP allan gyda phartneriaid Stump Up for Trees, Wye & Usk Foundation, Usk Catchment Partnership a Coed Cadw i archwilio’r camau nesaf yn ein prosiect Coedwig Genedlaethol. Gyda’n gilydd, rydym yn gweithio i gryfhau amddiffynfeydd naturiol rhag llifogydd ac i gysylltu darnau o goetir sydd wedi’u darnio fel y gall bywyd gwyllt symud yn fwy rhydd ar draws y dirwedd.

Mae rhan fawr o’r gwaith hwn yn ymwneud â chydweithio â ffermwyr. Drwy sicrhau bod y coed cywir yn cael eu plannu yn y llefydd cywir, gallwn feithrin bioamrywiaeth tra hefyd yn cefnogi’r da byw sy’n pori ar lethrau’r bryniau. Mae’n ymwneud â chreu dirwedd iachach, mwy gwydn sy’n gweithio i natur ac i bobl.

🌿 Dilynwch ni dros y 18 mis nesaf wrth i ni ddod â’r weledigaeth hon yn fyw ac i barhau i wella’r dyffryn er lles pobl a bioamrywiaeth.

🌿Spend a cosy hour with nature this January! 🌿

The RSPB’s Big Garden Birdwatch is here from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 January 2026 — and you can join in for just one hour from your garden, balcony, or local green space.

Garden Birds like Blue t**s, Nuthatch, Blackbirds are important indicators of biodiversity, that’s why recording them is vital to helping RSPB Cymru and our partners understand the state of Nature.

To find out more head over to the RSPB’s Website.

🌿 Treuliwch awr glyd gyda natur ym mis Ionawr! 🌿

Mae Adar y Gardd Mawr yr RSPB yn dychwelyd rhwng dydd Gwener 23 a dydd Sul 25 Ionawr 2026 — a does ond angen un awr i gymryd rhan, o’ch gardd, balconi neu ofod gwyrdd lleol.

Mae adar gardd fel y Titwod Glas, Telor y Cnau a’r Mwyalchen yn ddangosyddion allweddol o fioamrywiaeth. Cofnodi’r adar hyn yw’r allwedd i helpu RSPB Cymru a’n partneriaid ddeall cyflwr Natur.

Am ragor o wybodaeth, ewch i wefan yr RSPB!
