Just before Xmas we finally managed to move into our new shipping container storage unit at Southmead School. The use of these containers will save the Group around £2,000 per year, putting the group on a more sustainable financial footing and allowing us to concentrate resources on activities for our young people.
This project was funded by Vivian Moon Community Trust Fund and Fullabrook CIC.
We would like to thank both of these organisations for their support for Scouting in the Braunton Community.

HELP, HELP, HELP !

We have just been given 6 weeks notice on the storage space for the large amount of camping equipment that we need to take our 60+ young people on camps and other adventures.
We desperately need either:
- a dry, secure store where we can store the equipment OR
- some land with van access where we can site a shipping container (someone has offered us funds to buy one)

We need between 200 and 300 square feet in total depending on height or space for a 20 foot shipping container.
Even if we can't use the space long term, if we can get something for say 6 months, then it gives us time to pursue other options.

CAN YOU HELP US MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO 60 + YOUNG PEOPLE IN BRAUNTON ?

Do you have good admin skills and have 2 or 3 hours to spare every month ?
Am looking for someone to do the Secretary role for a Trustee Board for an organisation that helps transform young people’s lives locally.
The Secretary will organise meetings and take minutes and support the smooth running of the group behind the scenes.
Meetings will be every 4 to 6 weeks in the evening lasting around 90 minutes. Minutes can be done at time to suit you.
Training and ongoing support available, from a super, experienced lady who has done this for many years.
If you are interested in helping us make a difference, please DM and we can explain how you can help.
