Hello All,

Our monthly Parent/Carer Support group will be on next Tuesday (3rd March), 7-9pm at The Family Hub, Unit 3 The Barns, 42 Thrapston Road, Brampton, Huntingdon, PE28 4TD. Please do share this post so people you know can share with others they know, so we can reach parents and carers in need of a safe and supportive place to go.

It’s going to be a wonderful evening of connection, supporting one another and relaxation. OUR CHARITY HAS A NEW NAME….
Why? Mainly to give Opie some autonomy! To allow him some space from his cancer diagnosis and treatment. The Opie Jones Foundation is still the legal name but our working name is now THRIVE FOUNDATION

The charity is still supporting parents, carers and families by paying for mental health support, we continue to advocate for earlier access to approved cell and gene therapies like Car-T in the treatment of childhood cancer.

We are doing all this believing it really is possible, with the right support, to not only survive childhood cancer but THRIVE!

September marks Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, but raising awareness of this issue should not be limited to a single month. It is a year-round commitment! 🎗️⭐️

Around 1,800 new cases of childhood cancer are diagnosed each year in the UK. Parents of children with cancer have to cope with worries about treatment, recovery, and mental health hurdles throughout the entire year. In this month, the least we can do is acknowledge what families are going through during their childhood cancer experiences, and provide any support we can.

Our foundation exists to do exactly that! We guide families to mental health resources and provide them with financial support to fund different types of mental health therapies that are right for their families.
