Heald Green Community Apiary Our family have lived in Heald Green for nearly 18 years - we moved here with a 3 year old and a 3 month old baby!

We have a beautiful Black Lab called Beau, 6 chickens (rescued battery hens) and have long had an interest in bees. Now in our second year of beekeeping we are keen to share our knowledge of these fascinating and essential insects. You may have already enjoyed some of our Bramley Apples or fresh eggs, which we thrift out during the summer / autumn months.

I'm often asked what I do with the frames once I have finished spinning them. The answer is, I give the bees back all the honey that I wasn't able to collect.
They love it.
