Just a quick post (mainly as I am knackered!).

We've made it down the mountain and currently back at our hotel where Harley is sat munching chocolate and watching TV (like nothing even happened).

We are so incredibly proud of her and she did an amazing job.

On the way up and down we met some fantastic people who were all doing the mountain for their own reasons but would stop and be so supportive. We had organised a surprise for when Harley got to the top. Her mum and baby brother got the train up to meet us!

The weather at the summit wasn't great but I did my best to get a picture before the banner ripped in the wind!

We just want to thank everyone for the messages, the donations and just the overwhelming support, you've all been fantastic!

Harley has done fantastic so far. We're coming up to the last hard push!

We arrived in Wales Sunday evening after setting off early. Having a little family break before the big climb on Friday!

The weather has been fantastic here, about 30c Monday and today.

On Monday we managed to escape the heat down an old slate mine for a couple hours where the temperature was a cooool 8c. Today we kept cool down the fantastic beach near us! Just chilling in the shade at the moment before grabbing our pennies for the arcades.

Tomorrow we're changing accommodation and heading to stay at LLanberis, right at the foot of the mountain. We're stopping at a castle on the way for another day out.

On Thursday we will be going to a family theme park, thankfully the weather will be starting to drop as it's looking to be about 21c.

Harley and I shall be starting our climb up the Pyg track at 6.30am and are hoping to get to the peak at about 10:30 - 11am where there will be a little surprise waiting for her. The weather is looking to be about 18c and overcast at the bottom and 9c and foggy at the top. Hopefully there will be breaks in the clouds so we get to see the stunning views.

I'm hoping to be able to set up live tracking on my smart watch and post the link on here Friday morning so everybody will be able to check our progress (if I figure it out)

It's been a while since our update, but we've been keeping busy!
Harley has been having some PT sessions with the amazing Tamar Priestland. Harley has done incredibly well and was pushed hard... Unfortunately I also joined in for a session and couldn't walk properly for a few days from all the weighted squats and lunges!
I think it really shows Harley's fitness as afterwards she just carries on like nothing has happened.

Unfortunately on Saturday morning we discovered Harley has come down with chickenpox. She's currently resting it up on the sofa, watching cartoons and using a bell to summon Teela Hansen for snacks, drinks and cuddles.

With 9 days until the big climb we're confident Harley will be fully recovered and ready for the adventure!

What an achievement! We set off early today for a hike. The wind was definitely against us and a cold start, but the weather improved for the second half and the sun even decided to show itself! Harley pushed herself and with plenty of snacks managed to do 8.4miles!

Harley had a little nap in the car on the way home, but is currently running around the house on an Easter egg hunt!

Bouncing back from illness yesterday, Harley was up for a hike today. We went to Langdon Hills (definitely lots of hills!) country park.

We had on our new boots, mountain gear and loaded up backpacks for the first time and completed a 6.04 mile hike and an elevation gain of 732 feet!

Meet Harley Hansen.

She is 7 years old, full of energy, and she has just set herself a massive challenge.

On 26/05/2026 Harley is going to climb the highest mountain in Wales—Yr Wyddfa (Mount Snowdon).

But Harley doesn't like to do things by halves. She isn’t taking the train, and she isn’t taking the "easy" path. She has decided to tackle the PYG Track. For those who know Snowdon, you know this is a rugged, steep, and rocky route that involves serious scrambling. It is a huge physical undertaking for an adult, let alone a 7-year-old!

Why is she doing this?

Harley is climbing with her Dad to raise funds for Coeliac UK, a charity that is incredibly close to her heart.

Two years ago, at the age of 5, Harley was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease. It was a scary time and a huge life change for a little girl. Suddenly, she had to navigate a world where food could make her very sick. It meant saying goodbye to "normal" birthday cakes, pizza parties, and fast food, and learning to be hyper-aware of everything she eats.

She has handled her diagnosis with bravery and maturity beyond her years, and now she wants to give something back to help others just like her.
