Bradford – More Than a Meal ❤️

Today we were back in Bradford, supporting people facing homelessness, addiction and difficult circumstances.

We spent time listening, building relationships and having real conversations about the support available. From there, we guided people into the safe and welcoming space at Fountains Church, joining the Fountains team at their Well Wellbeing Café.

It’s a place where people can sit down, enjoy a warm meal, play games, build friendships and know they are genuinely welcomed.

The Light Group continues to support people with practical pathways into housing, emergency accommodation, rehab, recovery and supportive communities, while Fountains Church provides pastoral care, food and a place to belong.

It’s about much more than meeting an immediate need. It’s about walking alongside people, building trust and helping them take positive steps forward.

Bradford Outreach – Community in Action🙏

Each week across Bradford city centre, we support people affected by homelessness and addiction. We share hot drinks and snacks, listen to people's stories and look at how we can support each person individually.

From the streets, we guide people into the safe and welcoming space at Fountains Church, where we join the amazing Fountains team at their Well Wellbeing Café.

This is where community really comes together. People can enjoy food, conversation and games, while receiving pastoral and practical support. Having that safe space gives us the opportunity to sit down with people, listen further, make referrals and look at the right support for each individual. The Light Group comes alongside Fountains to help people explore pathways into housing, emergency accommodation, rehab and recovery.

It isn't just about meeting an immediate need, It's about building relationships, creating community and helping people take positive steps forward.

Two teams coming together with one heart: to make sure people feel seen, heard, valued and supported.❤️🙏

Another great day supporting people across Bradford.

The Light Group began the day out on outreach, spending time with people facing homelessness and addiction, providing teas and coffees, talking about recovery and offering practical support. We explored housing options, made referrals into rehabs and helped people connect with supportive communities.

After outreach, we continued supporting people at the drop-in at Fountains Church, working alongside their amazing team. Fountains provided a warm meal of fish and chips, with jacket potatoes and cheese also available, alongside pastoral care and a welcoming place for people to sit, talk and connect.

We finished with a wonderful Bible study together, exploring faith and Scripture in a relaxed and welcoming space.

It’s always encouraging to see what can be achieved when we work together as one team, building community, offering hope and supporting people to take positive steps forward❤️😊

Another great outreach in Bradford, coming together to support people facing homelessness, addiction and difficult circumstances.

After spending time connecting with people in the city centre, we joined Fountains Church for the drop-in, offering food, drinks, practical and pastoral support, referrals and a listening ear.

We finished with a great time of Bible study and fellowship, encouraging one another in faith and community.

Another blessed day in Bradford as The Light Group and Fountains Church came together to support people facing homelessness, addiction, and other difficult circumstances.

After spending time connecting with people on the streets, we welcomed everyone into the drop-in at Fountains Church, where people enjoyed food, snacks, drinks, practical support, and a safe place to connect with others.

Afterwards, we shared a special time together in Bible study, where we talked about faith, encouraged one another, and enjoyed a real sense of fellowship. It was a blessing to spend time together, supporting one another and reminding each other that no one has to face life's challenges alone.

When churches and organisations come together with a shared heart to serve, we can make a real difference by meeting both practical and spiritual needs. Thank you to everyone who volunteers, prays, donates, and supports this work. Together, we continue to bring hope, build community, and walk alongside those who need it most.🙏❤️

Each week, The Light Group and Fountains Church come together to support people across Bradford who are experiencing homelessness, addiction, and other difficult challenges.

Fountains Church provides a welcoming space, food, and pastoral care through the drop-in, while The Light Group offers practical and pastoral support, alongside referrals into housing, rehab, and other services. By working together, we're able to walk alongside people and help them access the support they need.

Bradford Outreach, we once again came together with Fountains Church to support people experiencing homelessness, addiction, and hardship.

The Light Group spent time out on the streets offering tea, coffee, conversation, and practical support before inviting people into the church drop-in. There, Fountains Church provided a warm meal and pastoral care in a safe and welcoming environment, while The Light Group was able to support people with referrals into housing, rehab, and other services.

It's amazing what can happen when organisations work together with one purpose—to help people feel valued, supported, and connected with the right help at the right time.

Another great outreach and drop-in at Fountains Church today.

It was a privilege to support so many people, helping navigate housing issues, offering practical advice, and speaking with those looking for hope and recovery from addiction. Every conversation matters, and we're grateful to be able to walk alongside people on their journey.
