MIZKAST LGBTQ+ Theatre Group.
Short Film made by young people.

The planned theatre production of The Brunch Club unfortunately had to be cancelled due to lockdown restrictions and Covid 19, so as not to waste all of their hard work, the group made a short film over the lockdown period which tells the story of one of their characters, Josh.

Congratulations to the fantastic group for all their creativity, dedication and hard work.

In association with Void Arts, SORM Studios and funded by Awards for All.

PAST PROJECT FLASHBACK!
Making short films with Young People.

BACK to BACK
tells the story of 2 groups of girls who come from different sides of the tracks, but are both experiencing similar issues. The film deals with issues such as bullying and class. Are people really that different? Can you tell a book by it's cover?

In Association with Here for Youth/The Activity Agreement.

YOUNG REBELS of VOICE and VISION is a brand new Arts and Media programme for young people aged 13-25, working in partnership with MAPA Bradford. The programme incorporates a number of creative projects, which allow participants to create pieces of work based around self identity and activism, looking at how art can be a voice for those often voiceless and giving young people the opportunity to comment on personal and social issues which affect themselves and society. The programme is ideal for those young people who have an interest in the Arts, but may not be ready for college just yet.

It is with greatest regret that our committee have decided to not go ahead with Sowerby Bridge Pride this year due to the Coronavirus Outbreak in the UK.

We are truly sorry to those people who have supported us at every stage of this project and we hope to go ahead with Sowerby Bridge Pride from 2021 as we believe this is something that our community needs to bring us together.

The cancellation of this event is for the health and well-being of all our audience, volunteers and performers.

Thank you for supporting our difficult decision.

Kind regards,
Sowerby Bridge Pride

Good evening all. Due to the ongoing public health concern that is Coronavirus, we the team behind SB Pride 2020 has decided to cancel this year as we just do not know how things will stand and there is an awful lot of face to face meetings needed to make it viable. Please keep an eye out for the future.

Stay well and stay safe!

SB Pride 2020.
