The Northern Ireland Dyslexia Hub is a local support service of the British Dyslexia Association, guided by a dedicated team of local volunteers, offering dyslexia awareness talks and practical support.

We’re looking for volunteers who are passionate about supporting people with dyslexia. You don’t need to be an expert - full training is provided. We welcome those who are confident about speaking in workplaces and schools, as well as volunteers who prefer to support speakers or help with admin or during the talks.

Volunteer roles available:
• Community Outreach Volunteer (admin & support)
• School Inclusion Volunteer
• Workplace Inclusion Volunteer

Key dates
• Apply by: 16th February
• Interviews: Week beginning 23rd February
• Online training: Tuesday 3rd & 10th March, 6.30–8.30 p.m.
• In‑person training/meet your team: Wednesday 25th March (evening), Belfast City Centre - (expenses covered)

We are looking for volunteers to deliver dyslexia awareness talks - online or face to face - in workplaces, organisations, and community groups across Northern Ireland.

We also have a range of other flexible roles supporting the project, including admin support, social media support, and outreach roles.

You don’t need prior experience, just an interest in dyslexia or other neurodivergent conditions and a passion for helping people feel understood and supported.

What we offer:

• Full training and ongoing support
• Flexible volunteer roles
• Expenses covered
• Online and in person opportunities
• A variety of roles: awareness talks, admin, social media, outreach, and more
