Monday 2 June – Everyday Heroes
💙 Community heroes don’t always wear capes.
They organise events, support local groups, help neighbours, coach sports teams, raise money, offer a listening ear and give their time simply because they care.
To every volunteer making a difference across Brackley – thank you. Your impact reaches further than you may ever realise.

Our local Scout group continues to grow, with over 6,200 in Northamptonshire.
The challenge isn't young people wanting to join, it's ensuring enough volunteers are available to help create these opportunities.
Volunteers are the heartbeat of Scouting.
Without them, many of these life-changing experiences simply would not happen.
The wonderful thing is that volunteering doesn't mean you need to commit every evening or become a leader immediately. There are many ways to get involved and every contribution matters.
You might:
• Help occasionally on a parent rota
• Support activities and events
• Assist with trips or camps
• Share skills or hobbies
• Volunteer as a leader
• Help behind the scenes
No two Scout sessions are ever the same. One day you could be helping run activities in a village hall, another organising a camp, and another making sandwiches for a group of very hungry young people!
People volunteer for many different reasons:

Every volunteer gives something, but they often gain just as much in return.
The impact of volunteering reaches far beyond a single meeting or weekend camp. Volunteers help young people develop confidence, resilience, independence and skills that stay with them throughout life.
