Introducing the 'Bovi Roman Project,' a thrilling archaeological test pitting endeavor aimed at discovering evidence of the Romans in Bovey Tracey.
🔎 Are you curious about the ancient history that lies beneath your own back garden? Now's your chance to be a part of an exciting archaeological journey! 🌟
Test pits are carried out quickly, leaving no trace- a 1x1m wide pit that is 1m deep, dug, recorded and backfilled in the same day.

The first phase of the project will take place in the area shown below; the part of the town extending south from the Dolphin Hotel, including Brimley, Pottery Road and roundabout area, Blue Waters and Slade mead.
