📣 Important announcement 📣

Good morning all, Unfortunately we have had to make the sad decision to close CROP.
With increases in running costs & lack of funding & grants available to support the running of our clubs it is just not sustainable.
It has been a pleasure over the years to meet more members of the community & to provide them a place to come be around nature & enjoy the animals little & large that Bourton Vale has to offer.
Non of what was achieved would have been possible without the support from Bourton Vale Equestrian Centre. So a huge special thanks to them & especially Leanne Launchbury for being our fabulous hosts.
Thank you to all volunteers, committee members & directors old & current that have supported & given their time free of charge to enable the running of CROP as long as we have.
Gee Gees for grownups last session will be Wednesday 5th March.
Young Equestrians & Saddle clubs last session will be Friday 7th of March.

WANTED - POLE PICKERS AT DAUNTSEY ODE 21-22 SEPT £100 PAID!

Horse-Events is looking for a party of pole pickers for the Championships this weekend.

Full instruction given.

Fantastic for budding show jumpers and eventers who want to experience what an ODE is like before competing and see behind the scenes.

Full hospitality on offer - excellent picnic lunches, cakes, drinks etc in exchange for a ring side seat at Show Jumping and £100 split between the team.

Ideally 4 people needed for each day but can manage on 3

Unfortunately clubs for this week have had to be cancelled due to our instructor requiring an operation.

We have been unable to find a suitable replacement.

Our sincere apologies for the short notice.

Clubs will resume as normal next week.

Members of our 24/25 clubs will be covering the following topics.
Saddle clubbers will learn the basics with our young equestrians going into a bit more detail.

All sessions are non riding so members will learn and practice skills utilising our model horse and Bourton Vales resident horses.

We aim to make sessions fun yet educational ensuring every member goes home having learnt something new.

We are accepting members for both clubs. Further details can be found on our main FB page.

🚨Membership is open for both our Saddle Club & Young Equestrians🚨

Start date for new members will be,
Young equestrians = Wednesday 2nd October 1600 to 1730
Saddle Club = Friday 4th October 1600 to 1700

Clubs are located at Bourton Vale Equestrian Centre, Bourton On The Water, GL54 2HN.

Membership is £45 for 12 months.

Unfortunately today’s GeeGees for grownups is cancelled as our instructors car has broken down and unfortunately we can’t find a short notice replacement.

As the dressage and jumping get underway in Versailles, let's take a moment to thank all the eventing grooms who have worked so hard to ensure their horses come through the Games healthy - and happy.

Early mornings, late nights and hours dedicated to every aspect of their horses' wellbeing.

Horse sport doesn't happen without grooms, not just because of their technical skills of their profession, but because of the love and dedication they pour into their horses.

Image is of Laura Collett's groom with the fabulous London 52... the photo speaks 1000 words but this definitely shows the 'Bond like no other' between horse and groom.

Thank you to all the grooms who are working so hard to ensure we see happy athletes on the world stage.

Wow! What a response for our Young Equestrian Sessions!

Unfortunately we only have 8 slots available due to ratios.

To increase numbers we will need volunteers. So if you have a child/teen that would like to come along, and you can commit to volunteering to allow others to also benefit, we would love to hear from you. You can contact us by DM or email [email protected]

If we don’t manage to get a volunteer we will allocate places on a first come, first served basis and have a waiting list.

Membership forms will be sent this evening to all those who have already provided email addresses.
If you have provided your email and haven’t received one from us by tomorrow morning (03/05/24) please DM or email us on [email protected]
