It all started with one moment in Kenya.

Seeing children create joy from so little made me realise how much difference a safe playground could make.

That moment became Steps for Swings ❤️

Why Cheltenham to Bournemouth?

Because Cheltenham is twinned with Kisumu in Kenya, near the schools I visited with Boo Charity.

That visit changed everything and became the reason behind Steps for Swings.

120 miles later… two playgrounds are now happening ❤️

WE DID IT! 🏁🎉 120 miles, 7 days, and one incredible community.

I officially finished the walk on Sunday, followed by the most amazing Silent Disco at Sobo Beach. My feet are sore, but my heart is so full. 👟💛

Thanks to your overwhelming generosity, our JustGiving total stands at £4,258! We didn't just hit the target; we smashed it!

The best news? I’ve just heard from The Boo Charity following their trustee meeting. Because of YOU, Boo has given the green light to go ahead with BOTH playgrounds at Bisure and Nyamwanga! 🇰🇪✨

They're now putting together the project plans, and I can’t wait to share the progress and final photos with you all as it happens. 100% of your donations are going directly to making this safe, joyful play a reality.

Thank you for being part of this journey. We’ve officially turned steps into swings! 💛

The finish line is finally in sight... 💛

Today is Day 7. The last leg of this long, exhausting, but incredible journey from Cheltenham to the coast.

Poulner to Southbourne. 11.5 miles.

My feet are sore and my pace is definitely slower than Day 1, but my heart is so full. I’m not a natural athlete, and there were moments where I wasn't sure my legs would keep moving... but thinking of the children in Kenya kept me going.

Every single mile was for them. Every pound we've raised together goes directly to replacing those rusted, broken frames with safe, joyful play spaces.

I’m nearly there. If you’ve been waiting for the final day to support, now is the time! 👟

Let’s finish this together. 💛

👣 Day 6 Complete 👣

I honestly can’t believe I’m writing this.

Today marks the end of Day 6, which means tomorrow is the final day of my 120-mile journey back to Bournemouth.

There have been blisters, hills, rain, overgrown footpaths, stinging nettles, road diversions and plenty of moments where I’ve questioned what on earth I signed up for 😅

But thanks to the incredible support from everyone following along, we’ve now raised £3,310 of our £4,000 target ❤️

That is absolutely amazing.

Every donation, share, message and word of encouragement has helped keep me putting one foot in front of the other.

Tomorrow I’ll take on the final miles before reaching Sobo Beach and crossing the finish line.

One more day.
One more push.
One step closer to making a difference.

Thank you for being part of this journey 👣❤️

Day 6. My legs are definitely starting to have words with me... 😅

Today's journey takes me from Nunton to Poulner. It's 16.3 miles of putting one foot in front of the other, which is starting to feel like quite a lot for someone who isn't exactly a pro athlete!

But every time my pace slows down, I just think about the children at Bisure and Nyamwanga ECD. I think about the rusted slides and the swings without seats. It makes every mile feel so much lighter.

I’m so grateful for everyone who has cheered me on or donated so far. We are actually doing this. We’re turning these long steps into safe, joyful swings for kids who really need them. 💛

Every single penny you donate goes directly to the equipment through BOO Charity. No admin fees, just 100% impact.

Nearly there now. Just one more day after this...
