Your donation allows us to bring a sense of celebration and care to our clients. Seeing the smiles your gifts bring to peoples faces is a wonderful reminder of the power of community spirit.

🚗 One Person’s Junk, Another Person’s Joy!

This weekend, I swapped my lie-in for a folding table and a flask of coffee at the local car boot sale! Our mission? To clear out the house and raise as much as possible for Helping Hands.

There is something so satisfying about watching items that have been sitting in a cupboard for years find a brand new home.

From vintage mugs to those "I’ll definitely wear that one day" jeans, every 50p and £5 added up to a fantastic total of £62.85.

Thankyou team for all your help. Also huge thankyou to the Poole stadium team for allowing us free entry, this will really boost our profits.

We will be back next Sunday so if you have anything to donate please drop us a message.

We are preparing for our first carboot sale of the year.

We will be at Poole stadium tomorrow afternoon!! Doors opening for buyers at 12pm. Raising money for Helping Hands Street Support.

We will have a selection of toys, clothes, bric & brac, games & tuck shop!

Today is a very special day!!

8 years since we began Helping Hands Street Support. Helping Hands began when a group of regular people came together and decided enough was enough.

We couldn't rest knowing there was hardly any help for those falling through the gaps, we couldn't rest knowing local people were freezing to death on the very streets we walk through.

We didn't have alot to give ourselves but we gave what we could & started this group in hope that there were others who felt the same.

We have never had a massive amount of funding & still remain very independent. What we do have is alot of compassionate people driven to make a change. Lots of people with massive hearts. Your generosity, kindness & big open hearts have been the back bone of our project for last 8 years. Without you all supporting us, believing in us & donating anything you can we never would have made it this far. Street Support has made such an impact on so many people's lives.

We receive so much gratitude every single week & that gratitude goes to everyone who cares & wants to make a difference!

Behind the scenes we have an amazing, dedicated team & I would like to say a special thankyou to them for giving up their time to help!!

Happy Birthday to us!! We look forward to another incredible year of Street Support!! 🍻

As 2025 has come to an end we would like to wish you all a very happy new year and leave you with our highlights.

What an incredible year it was. We raised £1500 for street support, issued lots of food vouchers to families, made a few appearances on Dorset Coast Radio , met the wonderful ladies from Pizza with Love received an abundance of donations and the brave Jay done a sky dive. 👏

It was a great year filled with laughter and love. We cant wait to see what next year brings.

You are all amazing and we thankyou for sharing this journey with us. 💜💜

There is alot more support this time of year so our team will be taking a short break to spend time with our families over Christmas.

Our last distribution of the year will be the 23rd December and our services will resume as normal on the 6th January!!

Good afternoon everyone,

This year we will be giving out our Christmas parcels on Tuesday 23rd December alongside our regular distribution. Our team will be taking a short pause until the 6th January.

There is always extra support available over the Christmas period which allows us time to rest with our families.

We would really appreciate your help gathering these items. I will tick off each one as its completed:

40 Bags of sweets
40 small selection boxes (only need 20)
40 bags gold coins
40 candy canes
40 pairs of gloves
40 mince pies ✔️
40 Christmas cards ✔️
Large tub hot chocolate ✔️
Mini marshmallows ✔️
5 rolls of wrapping paper ✔️

We received an email from someone sleeping on the streets who needed life saving supplies.

Ofcourse we wanted to help but also went a few steps further. Me & Madz picked up as many girly essentials as we could think of in home bargains & hope it brightens up this ladies day.

With the cold weather coming I would just like to remind everyone that if you see anyone rough sleeping & they need anything to help keep them warm you can contact us by the email [email protected] or send us a message on the page & we will endeavour to get there as soon as possible.

If you have any sleeping bags, tents, hats, gloves or blankets that you can donate we would be very grateful.

These things can literally save people's lives 🩷
