Weymouth unity international lunch , 2026 :
Unity in Vision creating meaningful HARMONY, through community educational through raising awareness and creating networks.

The lunch on Weds 14/10/2026 went extremely well, raising awareness with October’s black and Asian UK history month .

The participants were from national and diverse backgrounds ;
Manchester, Bath, Northampton, London, Weymouth , Japan, Bangladesh, ToGO, Haiti , Russia, Poland, Ukraine, Botswana , Pakistan, Egyot, Sudan , Kuwait, Palestine .

Connections were made, contacts and new friendship between total strangers, in the comments section below a video demonstrating this amazing diversity.
Thanking all the team for making this day possible, the prep and shopping team of volunteers .Feda, Ruaa.

Special thanks to Val our hostess , the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day-Saints and its members in Weymouth. One the main outcomes is exploring the initiation of ( Self reliance ) online course which introduces new comers to employment and basic budgeting planning, online. This course was successfully applied in partnership and had 100% success in the past.

1st of October, UinV AGM, 6:30-8:30 pm, at LDS church in Bournemouth.

Unity International Lunch will this month in Weymouth , Weds 14 th of October 12:30- 14:30 .

Glimpse on September’s Beautiful Wisdom session , simply very inspiring , took place last Monday in Poole.

Thank you Carol Cottrell for the fantastic input that motivated us to go away and to speaks the word to everyone who will be attending the upcoming beautiful wisdom in Dec at Poole , needs to do a family history scrap book or research and share with us photos and any other relevant history they got before passing it to their family at Xmas or in our case end of year project ⭐️🤣
Pleeeease everyone let us do it.

Our little group today missed most of you who couldn’t make .
Yet we celebrated International peace day by remembering dear Greg Singleton may he RIP and his legacy.

Thank you everyone who shared a dish or three with us .
Great selection which we all enjoyed.

Important announcement from the Victoria Climbie foundation that we are sharing that will interest professionals locally from Children social services that will find this training useful to add to their skills set when dealing with families who are not from the generic Euro centric model .

Working from a culturally competent perspective - for professionals working in the formal and informal societal systems

The flower arranging session in Beautiful wisdom willl be moved to September.
See all tomorrow, at LDS church 11:30-2 pm. Exquisite talk about spices and daily herbal treatments followed by lunch. Check the poster.

Welcome to August, good news to Dorset, please join and support us at our gathering in Weymouth . Wake would to get in touch and hear what the local diverse and ethnic community would like to have from the few projects that we launched .
Dorchester folks welcome .
Children are half suggested donation price , please declare any allergies too.

The 2 nd event is our monthly Beautiful Wisdom , we will attempt flower arranging .please bring your own flowers for the session which is packed with fun, laughter and multicultural neighbourly vibes, location this month will be in Bournemouth.

Our youth integration programme is still on the 23 rd of August.
English connect courses free, every Tuesday evening 6-7:15 at the Local Bournemouth chapel.

Today (11 July), we will fly the Srebrenica Memorial Flag at County Hall in Dorchester to mark 31 years since the Srebrenica genocide.

We remember the more than 8,000 Bosnian Muslim men and boys murdered in July 1995, and all those who suffered or were forced from their homes.

This year’s theme, “We Are Here,” honours the strength and resilience of survivors and their families, who continue to stand for truth and justice. It’s also a reminder of our shared responsibility in Dorset to challenge prejudice, celebrate diversity, and make sure everyone feels they belong.

Cllr Stella Jones MBE, Chair of Dorset Council, said: “Srebrenica Memorial Day gives us an opportunity to reflect on the devastating consequences of hatred, discrimination and division…we reaffirm our commitment to building communities in Dorset where everyone is valued, respected and included.”

- Saturday 16/05 Food and fun festival , first time in Southboune , Fisherman’s walk by the bandstand is our stall.
Serving Middle Eastern delicious cuisine and traditional hot and cold drinks suitable for vegetarians and vegans . First comes first served. We have a 5 star hygine rating. We are doing food demos too on the bandstand. Also lovely henna tattoo and we have two artists.£5
