Re-use, re-cycle, up-cycle!
is our in-house repair person for outdoor clothing and equipment. Bring along your broken gear and either fix it at a workshop for free or get it booked in for a repair and have it posted back to you.
Cedar is going to be doing two repair workshops at Yestival. One will be a “Fix it!” workshop. This is going to be one where you bring your broken stuff and can learn how to fix it yourself. If your item is not fixable in the workshop you will either receive advice on how to fix it or you can get a quote and book it in for repair.
Examples of things you could bring to this are:
- Stuff with dodgy zips – we won’t be doing full zip replacements but there are a few tricks which can sometimes get an old zip working again
- Small rips and tears in clothing, bags, coats etc
- Tent pole restring
- Holes in running shoes/trainer uppers
The second workshop will be the “Patch party!” where you can make a patch for repairing rips and tears on waterproof jackets and insulated jackets. You can either bring along something that needs patching or you can take your patch home with you.
Lastly, Ditch it! Cedar collects old gear to either fix and sell on or upcycle into new products. If you have any of the following items that you are ready to say goodbye to then bring them along in exchange for a 10% off Fixed by Cedar services or products.
- Down or synthetic insulated jacket – the bigger the better!
- Raincoats
- Backpacks – especially if they have lots of buckles!
- Small tents – 3 man max
