Primary school children in Bolton are being invited to design a special piece of artwork to say ‘thank you’ to the NHS as the organisation celebrates 75 years.

The artwork could be a ‘thank you’ drawing or painting that captures the historic milestone and the vital contribution of Bolton NHS staff who provide care and support to millions of people every year.

The winning design will be selected later this year and placed on display at Royal Bolton Hospital.

All entries should be submitted to [email protected] and include the Name, Age and School of the artist.

As part of National Healthcare Estates and Facilities Day, we are thrilled to share the details of our award winning Catering team’s most recent accolade!

On Friday 16 June the Catering department attended the North West HCA (Hospital Caterers Association) Awards and were awarded North West Hospital Catering Team of the Year 2023.

Add this to their recent five star rating following a food hygiene audit from Environmental Health and it’s clear to see the passion and dedication from the whole team.

Jason Waggett, iFM Catering Manager said:

“We are extremely proud of the iFM Catering team! This is an absolute credit to the them and their work ethic, the whole team should be extremely proud of what they achieved. There have been many ups and downs in the last 24 months and the department has come a long way.

“There is still a lot of work to do and a long way to go to improve the catering service further, but it is great to know that the team are receiving the recognition they deserved.”

Working tirelessly as an integral support service within the Trust, the Catering department have been through numerous changes in management and have overcome huge challenges during the pandemic.

Fiona McDonnell, iFM Managing Director said:

“I am so incredibly proud of the whole department who thoroughly deserve this award. We always knew that our Catering department were super stars and now they have the awards to prove it!

All the teams across iFM who work quietly in the background, providing vital services, really are the backbone of our organisation, and the patients are always at the heart of every we do.
