🧑🀍KASPER🀍🧑

This gorgeous boy was found & thought to be a stray in Bromley Cross last week.
A lovely kind lady called Helena posted about him on Facebook & reached out for help for him.
We offered to scan him & luckily he was chipped so we managed to contact his owner. Unfortunately she said he had been suffering from chronic dioreah for some time & she could no longer manage it and couldn't afford it.

Helena had made a little shelter for him & then bought a house for him. She had been taking care of him as best she could but couldn't take him inside due to having a family dog.
We are supposed to be temporarily closed, we are full, bursting, already dealing with too many & struggling but once again how could we just leave him outside outside...poorly! My heart broke for him πŸ’” I couldn't do it. So I invested all my spare time into getting him the help he desperately needs. Left outside he would have just got worse & worse. And we all know there's no-where for all these desperate cats to go because all the rescues are seriously struggling & are beyond breaking point 😿
Plus the RSPCA are now not dealing with ANY strays or injured cats. So he didn't have a chance. We had to help him.

Luckily another wonderful kind lady called Jackie saw Helena's post & offered to help. She had recently lost her ginger kitty and Kasper obviously pulled at her heart strings πŸ₯°

We home checked Jackie & we just knew she was perfect. We just loved her instantly! πŸ₯°

Kasper went into foster with Jackie on Monday. He made himself at home straight away. He's been to the vets today and been given some panacur wormer and some probiotics.
We've already started him on a specialised gastro diet. He is definitely suffering with chronic dioreah so were hoping we can get him better and its just parasites or giardia but it could be something much worse. For now he's safe, warm, on a strict gastro diet
& living it up on Jackie's couch.

If you can help us help him please do.
He's on purina gastrointestinal wet & dry food so if anyone has any spare or could donate any that would be great (Pictures in the comments).
If you can send cold hard cash that will always help with the vet bills or supplies. And if you can't donate please share. Sharing really is caring πŸ™

πŸ–€πŸ€ SNOWBALL & HIS LITTLE FAMILY 🩢🀎

UPDATE: We waited most of the morning but no sign of the little one so we got to work searching in the dence thick bushes. At dinner time we saw the little one scarper out for a few seconds & then dart underneath a tonne of rocks & rubble πŸ™„ Another hour of carefully clearing the rocks and rubble and I spotted him. I managed to grab him quickly and we finally had him secure πŸ₯³
I quickly got him back with his mum & siblings. Finally this little family is all safe & secure and back together. All 6 were flead and will be wormed tomorrow. Such a relief to have them all safe at last!
No more breeding or kittens for mummy cat. The kittens will be fed by mummy & weaned now then mummy can be vaccinated microchipped & spayed. Thank goodness this kind hearted lady did the right thing for this family and reached out for help for them ❀️ ( Extra pictures attached. None available for adoption.)

πŸ™ PLEASE PLEASE....NEUTER YOUR CATS πŸ™

This week we were told about a mum cat and kittens living in abit of unadopted land in the middle of an estate in Farnworth.
A lovely lady & some of her neighbours had growing concerns that mum was a stray.

We are still full with around 45 animals in our care & so we are still temporarily closed to taking any more in. Were struggling to manage/cope & fund those we already have. Adoptions are slow. I'm personally struggling mentally & am regularly at breaking point. I'm exhausted.
But how can I just refuse to help? All rescues are in the same sinking boat. There's no-one else to help them & its a killer!
If we dont help them the mummy cat will just go on to have litter after litter which is so cruel because as usual she's very young. The kittens will end up feral & breeding. Possible interbreeding with each other. It's then a vicious cycle and its infuriating because its so easily preventable if people would just be responsible & neuter their cats before letting them out. I say no to so many EVERY SINGLE DAY but sometimes I just can't do it. I cant refuse to help tiny babies and a neglected mummy cat who's basically just a breeding machine. It breaks my heart for her πŸ’”

I arranged temporary rescue space for them & went to see the lady who had asked for help. Theres a beautiful young mummy cat, her 4 gorgeous tiny kittens plus an older boy kitten. Neighbours tell me he's one from her previous litter last year 😿 God only knows how many litters she's had!
I spoke to neighbours and they all say she's a stray and she's had kittens before and she has no home. It appears she's had these babies in abit of scrubland surrounded on all 4 sides by houses. It's dence thick bushes & trees where they are living making it difficult to access & see where mummy is hiding them. The tiny babies are only around 4-6 weeks old & still feeding off mummy. The neighbours have been leaving food & water out for them.

I set a trap last night and the older boy kitten went straight in. I then managed to catch another 3 teeny kittens in the trap. All whilst mummy sat blatantly watching me. It got to 12.30pm & mummy cat was having none of it and the last little kitten who's obviously the most timid of the 4 was no-where to be seen. Unfortunately I had to give up for the night. I left the trap & instructions to reset it with the lovely lady who asked us to help and we agreed she would set it again first thing this morning in the hope of getting mum and her last baby.

I took the 4 kittens to our temporary emergency fosterhome and got them settled. They are totally feral, obviously been born outside & never had any human contact. Never had love & cuddles. Never played with toys or slept on a warm comfy blanket or bed. It's just so sad for them. They are just tiny babies who deserve so much better. Got home around 2.30am. I hardly slept worrying about catching mummy cat because her babies need her & her milk ideally and the little family really need to stay together.

Early this morning I got a text to say mummy cat was in the trap going mental. The trap was covered & I rushed over as quickly as I could. We secured mummy cat & re-set the trap to catch the last little kitten.
Its now a waiting game to see if we can get him & get this beautiful little family all back together πŸ™

Then the real hard work starts. They need taming...which is a massive task & it needs to be with someone experienced.
They need fleeing, worming, vaccinations, neutering and a permanent foster space.
If anyone has a rescue space who's experienced with taking ferals PLEASE get in touch πŸ™

We have everything crossed this last little dude goes into the trap soon πŸ™

If you can help us with this little family please do. Funds are low, the stress & pressure is massive and the struggle is real. This gorgeous little family desperately need our help so we need your help. If you can donate thats amazing, if you can't please just share as that's also a massive help. If you can donate food or litter we will need kitten food, kitten milk for when they are weaning, adult food for mum & the older kitten (who one of the neighbours has named Snowball).
Any litter will do & puppy pads.

Let's just hope the last little 1 is caught soon & can be reunited with it's siblings πŸ™
