The Victoria Hall, Bolton

Victoria Hall stands as Bolton’s foremost concert venue and a vibrant hub for community outreach, hosting a diverse range of performances and programs that bring people together.

Joshua from Victoria Hall said that he wanted to become Manbassadors because - "We employ a lot of male staff and have over 2.5 thousand people accessing our venue each week; including a lot of young males, particularly when we have shows on. We feel we are well placed to lead by example, support those around us and leave the men we meet stronger than we find them ."

Having witnessed the fantastic work this project does in highlighting and supporting men’s mental health in the local area, we were delighted to become a part of this incredible cause and contribute in any way we can."

Fran said that she wanted to become a Manbassador because - "I already offer a safe space for people to come to and I'd like to develop that to be able to better identify when someone is struggling and to be able to signpost them to support services."

Created as part of the award-winning Bolton Manbassadors project, The Living Room aims to encourage positive conversations around mental health and help men feel more connected, supported and less isolated.

🕘 Open Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, 10am - 12pm

Whether you fancy a brew, a chat, a game of darts or simply somewhere to unwind, you'll always be welcome.

Little Lever Working Mens Club is a vibrant community hub. It offers a range of activities and events, including live music, bingo and a function room for private gatherings. The club is known for its friendly atmosphere and welcoming staff.

Alexandra from the club said that she wanted to become a Manbassador because - "We have a lot of men who pass through the club and attend events here and we know that men's mental health often tends to be brushed under the carpet. Barbers and bars are where people tell their tales and we talk to a lot of people, sometimes people open up to us but don't always ask for help. If we can help in any way, we will. It's a great thing for us to do for the community."
