Mental Health Awareness Week is a reminder that behind every statistic is a person, a family, and a community.

In Cornwall, the su***de rate stands at 15.6 deaths per 100,000 people, compared with 10.7 across England and Wales - nearly 46% higher than the national average. This is more than a statistic; it reflects the urgent need for greater mental health support, connection, and early intervention across our communities.

That’s why we are incredibly proud to support so many amazing charities and organisations across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly that work tirelessly to reduce su***de, provide crisis support, tackle isolation, and ensure people know they are not alone. Their work saves lives every single day.

Mental health matters to all of us. By raising awareness, supporting your local communities, and encouraging open conversations, we can help create a Cornwall where everyone feels seen, supported, and able to reach out for help when they need it.

A simple call can mean more than you realise.

Check in on your friends. Reach out to the people who’ve gone quiet. Remind someone they’re not alone.

Mental health battles aren’t always visible — but support, kindness and connection can make a huge difference. 💙

May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💙

A reminder that not everything we carry is visible.
Some days feel heavy, some feel manageable, and some feel overwhelming - and that’s okay.

Check in with yourself.
Check in with your mates.
Send that message. Make that call. Sit with someone who might need it.

You don’t have to have all the answers. You don’t have to be “fine” all the time. Just taking things one step at a time is enough.

Let’s make this month about real conversations, support without judgement, and reminding each other that no one has to go through it alone.

Here at Connection Hub, our inbox is always open 💙

🎶 Tuesday Tunes 🎶

Music has a way of saying the things we sometimes can’t. Every persons’ journey is different, we will be sharing songs that helped us through ours, these may relate or may not, they may make you cry or make you happy.

Whether it’s a song that lifts you up, helps you through a tough moment, or simply makes you feel understood - we want to hear it 💙

Drop a track in the comments that resonates with you right now 👇
Tell us why it matters to you, if you feel comfortable sharing.

Let’s build a playlist together that supports, connects, and reminds us we’re not alone 🎧
