Scouts from across Blaydon & District were put through their paces today at our annual First Aid Competition in Edmundbyers.

With 7 challenging scenarios testing their skills, teamwork, and quick thinking, it was a fantastic day all round—ending with a joint win for 1st Chopwell and 1st Winlaton.

Recently, two members of our District attended Durham Scouts’ King’s Scout Award Presentation Evening, achieving the highest award in Scouting.

The first ever Sherlock Shield took place on 29th March at 1st Winlaton HQ!

Beavers put their detective skills to the test with code breaking, puzzles, first aid and teamwork challenges to solve the mystery of the missing birthday cake.

Our Explorers are heading to Switzerland!

They’ve already smashed their first target — £1,000 raised!

Now we’re aiming even higher… £2,000 to unlock even more adventure on their trip.

It was a pleasure to have Blaydon Explorer Scouts in Gateshead store for a fundraising visit.

The leaders Colin and Sian are so proud of these young folk, as am I. They are raising money towards their unit. This will enable them to learn life skills and buy equipment to help them run activities.– Donna, Asda community champion
