Fighting for our community
Our community is about to be devastated by a petrol station and KFC drive-thru which is to be built at the only entrance to the Blaengwrach and Cwmgwrach settlements on the A465. Although approved by Neath Port Talbot Council Planning Committee in June 2017 our community was not included in an appropriate public consultation. This development has been rushed through in record time with an extraordinary number of conditions and very little survey information. There are huge safety concerns for our residents, chiefly from increased traffic and hazardous gases affecting our main school route which have been dismissed on the basis of poorly formed assessments which favour the progress of the development.
This site has been set up to raise awareness of the details involved with this construction of a petrol station and drive-thru restaurant targeting traffic on the A465. We hope this will further educate our community about the massive impacts this large scale development will cause.
