Our next group meeting at Blaby Social Centre won’t be until 2nd July as next week we are off for our pub lunch at the fabulous The Fox & Tiger and the following week on our National Lottery Community Grant funded trip to West Midlands Safari Park. Some exciting news we can now share with everyone 🙌
Following a chance conversation during an eye test at the wonderful Specsavers Blaby one of our volunteers had the opportunity to talk about our group - who we are, what we do, and the support we offer our members. The team at Specsavers Blaby kindly shared this with one of the partners and as their values of supporting the local community align so closely with ours, they have generously agreed to fund two of our meals this year at The Fox & Tiger.

This is wonderful news for the group as it means our members will enjoy a free two-course meal. We are so grateful.

Thank You Specsavers Blaby for your support. Local backing truly means the world to us .

As a self-funding group, every £1 we receive in donations, grants and our fundraising events helps us to continue providing weekly activities and day trips for our members.

We are excited to have two very talented ladies come to our session this Thursday. Jenny Brown, Registered Therapeutic Counsellor will be doing some Art Therapy with us at The Social Centre Blaby from 1.30pm followed by some group singing with Kyle Newman, Singer for all events at 2.30pm. Sounds good! You are very welcome to come along and join in, first session is free.. the kettle will be on!! ☕️

We have the amazing Bonita keay doing some crafting with us from 1.30pm and our fabulous yoga and mindfulness expert Hayley from Bliss Mission popping along from 2.30pm to 3.30pm. Our group is on another funded trip thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund. We’re off to Bradgate Park Trust for a ranger talk and tour .. and no doubt coffee and cake! 🍰 Looks as though we’ve got a lovely day for it too ☀️ If this and/or any of our other activities interest you please message us for more details and become a member of our group 😊
