Our Moorfield Hall Community Centre was extremely grateful to be connected with CPC Civils, a civil engineering contractor, through Match My Project.

An enthusiastic group came along, all smiles, and generously removed bulky waste from our centre—freeing up space in the garden just in time for spring. A huge thank you for helping us make better use of our centre!

Same buildings — a bright new name! ✨

While our head office is based in Boldmere, we’re proud to also manage two fantastic community spaces across Birmingham — all now under our new name, Age Connects West Midlands.
💡 Let us shine a spotlight on them!

📍 Hawkesley Community Centre, Kings Norton
Hawkesley offers a range of bookable spaces, including a large sports hall and a fully fitted art room. You’ll also find Communitea Too Café, the sister café to our Communitea Café in Boldmere — a welcoming space offering mostly free social activities and events for the community.

📍 Moorfield Community Centre, Shard End
Moorfield has flexible bookable spaces available for one off or regular use, alongside a wide range of groups and activities in our main hall and community room. If you fancy a visit, pop into our new light bites café. Our Connections team also runs free activities here, and we offer our Day Care service Monday to Friday.

We’re the same welcoming spaces you know — now connected under one name 💙

We Have a New Name – Same Heart, Same Mission! ✨
We’re turning the page to an exciting new chapter!

Age Concern Birmingham is now known as Age Connects West Midlands. The rebrand reflects both our rich history and our bold vision for the future — staying true to our roots while evolving to meet the needs of today’s communities.

The word “concern” no longer reflects the, energetic, forward-looking organisation we’ve become. Ageing shouldn’t be something to worry about — it should be something to celebrate. And that’s why we believe Age Connects West Midlands is the right name for our future.

The rebrand offers us a chance to innovate and expand, while maintaining the core values of our organisation. Our commitment to providing local quality services remains unchanged and there will be no changes to our services, other than the logo.

Our rebrand marks an exciting new chapter, and we’d love our users and supporters to be part of the journey.
Please do help us spread the word!

Engage with us online, join our events, volunteer or fundraise, we appreciate it all.

Exciting changes ahead... Age Concern Birmingham has had a rebrand and from today will now be known as Age Connects West Midlands!🎉

We Have a New Name – Same Heart, Same Mission! ❤️🎉
We’re turning the page to an exciting new chapter!

From today, Age Concern Birmingham will be known as Age Connects West Midlands.

What’s the inspiration behind the name?

We developed the name “Age Connects West Midlands” a number of years ago and through this development several previous Age Concern organisations in Wales rebranded to Age Connects, area specific within their name. We now feel it is the right time for Age Concern Birmingham to modernise and rebrand.

Our rebrand marks an exciting new chapter, and we’d love our users and supporters to be part of the journey. Please do help us spread the word! Engage with us online, join our events, volunteer or fundraise, we appreciate it all.

Have more questions? Call us on 0121 362 3650 or email [email protected]

Together, we can make sure our rebrand is more than just a new look — it’s a stronger movement for our community.
