It’s Refugee Week - the world’s biggest arts and culture festival celebrating the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees and people seeking sanctuary. 🌍✨

This global festival creates space for people with lived experience of displacement to share stories, creativity and perspectives on their own terms, helping communities connect beyond labels and better understand displacement and sanctuary.

The theme for Refugee Week 2026 is courage.

Courage isn’t always loud and bold. It can be found in simple acts:

🚪 Opening your door to a neighbour
🍽️ Trying a new food
🎥 Watching a film that changes your view of the world

These simple acts are everyday actions we can all do to stand with refugees, make new connections in our communities and be part of a global movement taking small steps to create big change. 💛

"The biggest compliment I can give the nursery is that my son has developed immensely while at St Paul's Nursery. He has become more confident, is making friends, his speech is developing very well, he loves going to the nursery & loves his teachers (as do we)."

We’re thrilled to have received another 5-star review for our Nursery! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our Children’s Centre recently hosted a weaning information session at Little Blossoms Stay and Play. 🍼✨

The session offered parents and carers practical guidance on introducing solid foods, responsive feeding, and selecting suitable cups and beakers for young children.

Evidence-based advice, useful resources, and opportunities for discussion helped families feel more confident in supporting their baby’s feeding journey. 💛

Interactive play activities also enabled children to explore and develop their skills in a welcoming, supportive environment.

It’s Volunteers’ Week - a national celebration of the millions of people who give their time for free to support charities, community groups, schools, sports clubs, and local services.

From giving a few hours to volunteering regularly, every contribution matters.

🌞 14.2 million people in the UK have formally volunteered at least once a month
🌞 25 million people in the UK volunteered informally at least once in the year
🌞 Volunteering added £4.6 billion in productivity gains to the UK economy in 2024

People volunteer for all sorts of reasons. Some want to use their skills to support a cause they care about. Others are looking to learn something new, gain experience, or build confidence. For many, volunteering is also about connection — meeting people, making friends, and feeling part of the local community. 💛

If you’d like to volunteer at Together St Paul’s, we’d love to hear from you. Visit our website for more information:

We offer lots of opportunities for volunteers of all ages and from different walks of life. There are many opportunities within the different departments of St. Paul’s.
