The Centre for the Advancement of Positive Behaviour Support (CAPBS) at BILD was set up to support the organisational and workforce development of Positive Behaviour Support. CAPBS consultants work alongside organisations and services in the social care, education and health sectors, as well as with families who support children, young people and adults who have, or may be at risk of developing, b

ehaviours that are concerning or challenging. The overall aim of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is to improve the quality of a person's life and that of the people around them. CAPBS provides a range of learning and development options that fit within a workforce and organisational development framework. Continuing support is provided through facilitated communities of practice and practice networks that provide peer and expert support. CAPBS believes that a whole organisational approach is needed to embed PBS. should have a basic understanding of PBS and its value base.
