Come in from the pi***ng rain to September's Butch Bar!

The Rainbow in Digbeth, Tues 8th September, 7pm ‘til 11pm.

Returning to Butch Bar this month, local artist Natasha Taheem will be drawing more of your dreams! Share a wish, want or desire, silly or serious, big or small. In return, Natasha will create a drawing of your dream for you to keep and take home. A copy will be added to a growing record of q***r dreams in Birmingham. The seating behind the bar is reserved for us, but we are welcome to spread out into the main bar + the large (covered!!!) smoking area in the back.

Accessibility:

- There’s a small lip at the main entrance, but the side entrance to the smoking area has level access and can be opened by request. Inside the pub has no steps, except 2 steps down to access the seating behind the bar. The ground slopes in the corridor to the smoking area & toilets. Please get in contact with us if you are concerned about access.

- There’s mens & womens toilets on the same level. The accessible toilets are accessed with a radar key.

- Dadmins will be on hand during the night, please come speak to us if you need any help.

Big Butch Picnic - Tinnies in the Park
Saturday 22nd of August. 1pm start. Cannon Hill Park.

It’s a Hot Butch Summer! The Big Butch Picnic returns again, but this time for a some tinnies in the sun!
If the weather looks bad or dangerous, we’ll publicly cancel the event on instagram & in our whatsapp group a few days before.

Please bring clearly labelled food & drinks to share; we’ll be bringing a cooler with soft drinks and ice packs, + bin bags & napkins.
This is an 18+ event.

We are hoping to pitch up in the same spot as last month!
If you haven’t already joined the whatsapp community, please DM our instagram page to join, as we will post the exact location and more details there.

Accessibility:
- The exact location of the picnic will be decided on the day, but will be within 10 walk of the public toilets in the MAC & no more than 20 metres from the level path. We aim for this to be wheelchair accessible.
- Seating is not available but we encourage you to bring chairs/camping chairs/stools etc. for your own use.

It’s a Hot Butch Summer! The Big Butch Picnic returns for Round 2!

We’re taking advantage of the fickle summer & hosting more picnics this year! We had so much fun seeing you all at last month’s picnic and we’d love to see you all there again. Fingers crossed for no random drizzle this month & especially no extreme heat warnings! (If the weather looks bad or dangerous, we’ll publicly cancel the event on instagram & in our whatsapp group!)

This is a sober & family friendly event. Our new safeguarding policy for family friendly events has gone live. You can access it via the linktree in our bio so please check it out if you’re planning on bringing your kids!

July is bringing the heat and there’s no better way to enjoy the summer than at Brum Butch Bar, with friends and a cold pint. See you all there!

The Rainbow in Digbeth, Tues 14th July, 7pm ‘til 11pm.

At Brum Butch Bar this month, we will be hosting an art session with local artist Natasha Taheem. Natasha invites you to share a wish, want or desire that has been living quietly at the back of your mind. It might be something serious or silly, big or small, outrageous, naughty, or impossible.

In return, Natasha will create a drawing of your dream for you to keep and take home. A copy will be added to a growing record of q***r dreams in Birmingham.

The Rainbow has food from Ba-ha out in the smoking area; award winning plant based burgers, wings, fries & mac n cheeese. They’ve got a deal for two burgers & fries for £25 every Tuesday. Make sure to order asap as they’re serving food until 8:30pm.

The Big Butch Picnic returns for another year and it’s promising to be bigger and butchier than ever.

Last year we had an incredible picnic that you all turned up for; bringing your well-behaved pets, games and food to share! It was so successful we’ve decided to host another one next month and we’d love to see you all there again.

Please note, we don’t have a specific area booked for private use, but the main bar & cocktail area + the large smoking area are free to use.
