Today we mark International Women’s Day.
This year’s theme “Give To Gain” reminds us that when we invest in women’s wellbeing, opportunity and inclusion, everyone benefits.
Women over 30 are more likely to be living with long-term health conditions autoimmune disorders, chronic pain, endometriosis, long COVID, and perimenopause-related conditions often while maintaining full-time employment.
They are:
• Leading teams
• Managing households
• Attending medical appointments
• Masking symptoms
When workplaces give understanding, flexibility and equitable support, they gain stronger teams, greater retention and more sustainable careers.
Health equity is workplace equity.
Supporting women with long-term conditions is not about lowering standards, it’s about designing employment systems where talented women can continue to contribute, lead and thrive.
If you’re navigating work and health at the same time, you are not failing.
The system needs to flex not you.
