What a lovely way to bring our community engagement workshops to a close 💚
Over the past few months, we’ve been bringing children, parents and grandparents together across Birmingham - creating welcoming spaces to connect, take part in activities and share their ideas about what they’d like to see more of for children and families.
We finished the project with our Family Fun Day in Ward End 🦙💚
Families enjoyed meeting the alpacas, Urdu storytelling, friendship bracelet making and spending time together - with around 40 people joining us on the day.
Across the project, we delivered 8 community engagement activities, reaching approximately 120 participant attendances. 🎉
Most importantly, families shared so many valuable ideas and experiences with us - from language and heritage activities, creativity and sport to family support, confidence, wellbeing and creating spaces where children feel they belong.
A huge thank you to every child, parent and grandparent who joined us and shared their voice. 💚
We’ll be taking everything we’ve heard forward as we continue to shape what comes next for LingoRoots.
