I am very fortunate to be able to represent the
Birmingham Chinese Women's Association in participating in the Mid-Autumn Festival on the 28th September 2025 organised by the Festival Committee. I am very honoured and sincerely thank Mr. James Wong for his financial and physical contributions to the Mid-Autumn Festival activities over all these years. This event has achieved remarkable results. It has given not only Chinese people but all a happy day out in Birmingham and given children the opportunity to learn about the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival, Chinese culture and handicrafts. I would like to thank all of the volunteers for their unlimited efforts. I would also like to thank the members of the Birmingham Chinese Women's Association for their assistance in organising this event. I would like to express my gratitude to all of those who have helped out and attended on the day.

Birmingham Chinese Women's Association originated from Midlands Chinese Association (Women's Group) which was established in June 1987. However, as from 8th March 1994 (National Women's Day) the group is re-structured and re-named Birmingham Chinese Women's Association.

The aim of the Association is to help Chinese Women to solve problems. Many Chinese Women, especially those who receive little or no education feel very helpless and isolated when they face difficulties. Through joining Birmingham Chinese Women's Association, these women can widen their fields of knowledge and become acquainted with more friends.

We do hope more Chinese Women from all walks of life will join our association. Professionals, house-wives and students come alike, we welcome you. Those who are interested can be committee members and do something for the Association.

AIMS

Use this Association as a bridge for friendship.

Encourage Women in Chinese Community to become involved in all kinds of activities including domestic, social, cultural and educational.

Reduce the isolation of Chinese Women in Birmingham.

Provide them with skills and techniques so they can participate better in the labour market or cope better in isolated environments.

Encourage them to get involved in traditional oriental arts and crafts.

Provide them with general knowledge of domestic concerns and childbearing.

GOALS

To represent Chinese Women in Birmingham area. To liaise between Women and related authorities.

伯明翰華人婦女會，起源自 華協會 ( 婦女組 ) ，成立於 1987 年 6 月。及後於 1994 年 3 月 8 日 ( 全國婦女節 ) ，團體重新結構化，並重新命名為 伯明翰華人婦女會。

本會目的是幫助中國女性解決問題。很多中國女性，特別是接受很少或者冇受過教育的人，當面對困難的時候，都覺得好無奈和孤立。透過加入 伯明翰華人婦女會，令女性們可以擴大知識領域，同更多朋友熟悉。

我們確實希望更多來自各界的中國女性，可以加入我們的婦女會。專業人士、屋企老婆同學生都可參予，我們歡迎你。有興趣的人，可以作為委員會成員，為會務分擔工作。

目標

婦女會作為友誼的橋樑。

鼓勵中國社區女性參與各種活動，包括傳統、社會、文化及教育。

減低中國女性在伯明翰的疏離。

為她們提供技能和技巧，等她們可以更好地參與勞動力市場，或者在疏離環境下更好，容易應付。

鼓勵她們參與傳統的東方藝術和工藝品。

為她們提供家庭關注和生育的一般知識。

目的

代表中國女性在伯明翰地區。聯絡婦女們和相關當局。
