April Flowers 🌸

Our community garden at Ley Hill looking resplendent in the spring sunshine today.

The raised beds are coming along with broad beans, garlic, onions, and rhubarb flourishing. Plenty of pretty blossom in the orchard too.

We had a great gardening session this afternoon at our Chatham Place gardening group planting our allotment plot up with potatoes. They were absolutely delicious when we harvested them last year, and the one complaint we received from everyone was that there weren't enough. We have planted so many this year to make up for it that hopefully there should be plenty to go around! 😋🥔

What a wonderful time we had today at our Chatham Place gardening group. It was great to see so many of our wonderful volunteers join us. We dug our allotment plot over ready for planting in the next few weeks and it was great to see how well out seedlings and onions are doing!

What a great session we had at our Chatham Place gardening group on Wednesday. It was great to be joined by new faces. We started out doing some weeding in the garden, tending the onions we planted last year, and getting the beds ready for the spring, before moving indoors when it got a bit chilly to do some indoor planting.
We meet every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month, 1-2.30pm. If you would like to get involved email [email protected]
