Fundraising for local charities is the DNA of Round Table. Community fundraising involves everything from organising beer festivals, firework events and santa sleighs; to climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and 10k fun runs. Round Table clubs raise over £4 million a year for local communities and good causes, whilst volunteering more than 160,000 hours.

Join Round Table. See the World 🌍

When most people think of Round Table, they think of local socials, charity events and meeting new mates.

While these things are all true, what they don't always realise is that your membership can open doors all over the world.

Our International Relations Officer, Kyle Chivers, takes the concept of Round Table being a truly international family very seriously indeed.

Nine years, 4 continents, 17 countries.

And that doesn't include the 6 trips/5 countries planned for the next 12 months.

There's no doubt that Kyle is out there flying the flag for Round Table Great Britain & Ireland...
..this year alone (so far!), he has represented RTBI in Luxembourg, Italy, Belgium and Moldova, building friendships, sharing ideas and helping make international events more accessible to members across the country.

Wherever you go, there's a Round Table waiting to welcome you - whether it's attending an international meeting, taking part in a sporting event, joining a European rally or simply catching up with Tablers in another country.

Round Table isn't just about discovering your local area. Sometimes, it's about discovering the world.

🏖️ Banquet on the beach?... Why not?!

Leave it to Ilfracombe Round Table to turn a brilliant idea into an unforgettable evening recently.

Not every Table is lucky enough to have a stunning beach on its doorstep, but that's what makes Round Table so unique. Every local group puts its own spin on social events, making the most of what's right on their doorstep.

One week it could be a banquet on the beach. Another, a hike in the hills, a charity challenge, a brewery tour or a BBQ in the park. The possibilities are endless for our members.

There's no set formula, just good people getting together, trying something different and making memories along the way.

One thing's for sure... Round Table knows how to put on a duck race! 🦆

This summer, rivers, streams and waterways across the country have been filled with thousands of little yellow ducks, all racing for glory while raising thousands of pounds for brilliant local causes.

A huge shout-out to:

..and all the other Round Tables around the country taking part, as well as everyone who bought a duck, volunteered, cheered from the riverbank or helped make these fantastic community events such a success.

Duck races have become a real Round Table tradition. They're fun, family-friendly, brilliantly bonkers and, most importantly, they help raise vital funds that go straight back into local communities.

Thought Round Table involved medieval robes, secret rituals, and sacrificing your time and all your money?

There seems to be a few myths surrounding what we actually do at Round Table, so this should hopefully clear up any myth-conceptions or myth-takes around what it's like to be a member.. (sorry)

For example:
❌ You must be rich, exceptionally important and own many leather-bound books in order to join our community,
✅ Turn up when you can, be cool and be a reasonably functioning member of society and you'll fit right in.

❌ Long, drawn out meetings with laser pens, minute taking, spreadsheets and boredom!
✅ A great mix of meetings, socials, charity events and great new mates.

❌ Round Table is just another club you'll get bored of after a few weeks.
✅ Round Table is the reason your calendar suddenly looks a lot more fun, and you will most definitely wish you'd joined sooner.

Sometimes, the best thing you can do for your mental health isn't complicated.

It's getting out of the house.
Meeting up with good people.
Having a laugh, trying something new, or simply talking about whatever's been going on.

Life has a habit of getting busy. Work, family, responsibilities, they all compete for our time. Before we know it, weeks can pass without making time for ourselves or catching up with the people who keep us grounded.

That's why Round Table nights out, weekends away, charity events and shared experiences matter.

Not because they solve every problem, but because they remind us that we're not doing life on our own.

So if you've been meaning to get out more, reconnect with people or simply try something different, maybe this is your sign.

Sometimes, showing up is the first step.

What A Day! 🚣‍♂️🌌

Last month's 51st Chester Raft Race certainly lived up to its "Out of This World" theme!

From incredible homemade rafts and creative costumes to spectacular splashdowns and plenty of laughs, the River Dee was once again transformed into one of the most entertaining events in the Round Table calendar.

Whether your raft crossed the finish line in style or earned an early nomination for the Fastest Sinker award, every team helped make the day one to remember. 😄

Away from the water, the event village was buzzing with live music, great food, family fun and a fantastic atmosphere, proving once again why the Chester Raft Race has become such a highlight of the summer.

Most importantly, thanks to everyone who entered a raft, volunteered, sponsored, donated or came along to cheer from the riverbank, vital funds were raised for SPACE and The Martin Gallier Project, supporting two incredible local charities making a real difference in the community.

A huge congratulations to Chester Grosvenor 76 Round Table and everyone involved in organising another fantastic event. It takes an enormous team effort to put on a day like this, and it certainly didn't disappoint.

Here's to another unforgettable Raft Race - we're already looking forward to next year! 🚀🦆
