Just some FAQs about Saturday's event

Is there a parade

No, we have a Joy demo meeting at the HIV Memorial at 11.30. We will then walk down to Eden at approximately 12.45, the walk will be supporting by TPB but please note this is not a parade and you join us at your own risk.

Is the Event 18+

We are not 18+ only, so young people are welcome. However, please note it is held is a bar and ther maybe be more adult themes and items on sale (nothing explicit, think novelty decorations with adult themes etc).

The first floor in Eden is 18+ due to the nature of the workshops.

Can I come if I am not Trans.

Yes, we absolutely welcome allies, but please note we are a safe space for trans individuals and prioritise comfort for all gender diverse individuals. We will not tolerate any form of discrimination and please do respect pronouns.

The Demo is at the HIV Memorial and outside.

The walk will consider access requirements and will avoid steps. We will be following the paths.

Eden Bar

Entrance doors are wide but we'd recommend getting help with them if you're a wheelchair user.

The 2 floors we are using are mostly step free. For the ground floor there is a narrow door to get round but the areas we are using are Step Free.
The second floor is step free with the exception of the garden terrace.

The lift is big enough for one wheelchair user and one ambulant person. You have to push down the button.

there is an accessible bathroom and bar staff can help if you do not have a radar key.

there will be quieter spaces such as the boardgame area.

We also this year unfortunately do not have the funds for a BSL interpreter, we know this is disappointing and we share this feeling. We promise next year this will be a priority.

ATTENTION! ‼️📣

Due to unforeseen elements at the 11th hour, to maintain the security of our community- we have taken the difficult decision to post pone our March held with until a later date. This has been decided due to a number of issues, and to make the best for our community we have decided to postpone our march.

Fear not- we will still be uniting together, but this time only in the Hippodrome Square where you can expect to hear every single one of our speakers speaking their truth, the honest truth, and openly speaking about what it means to be Trans+ in a world that is growing increasingly difficult to exist upon in.

This is a hard statement to write, and an even harder burden to bare- but know that whether it is today, tomorrow, or the future. We will rise united, together and united in our community and our solidarity.

Birmingham, we’re coming..just on Q***r time.

A need for community is becoming ever more present, from what we hear on our streets to what our community says to us-the need is clear for safe community spaces that platform and highlight the incredible, diverse and awe inspiring community we have as Trans+ people.

To take up space is to effect change, to create protest, to take a single moment and make it yours- and this year it is our honour to have .birmingham facilitate our spaces!

Introducing our first ever March, inspired by the rallies and the cries for protest over the past 8 months of 2025, and in particular since the 16.4.2025 when the EHRC decided to legislate against our lives and our existence, committing a grave injustice and doubling it down with more transphobic and utterly hateful rulings- we unite with to bring a March through our streets, visible, defiant, and free to the core.
