It's been a busy year for our Pantry.
We've been looking at a few bits of data from the weekly numbers since the start of the year.
Average weekly attendance of 39
We have supported 159 adults 99 children so a total of 258 individual people.
Today was particularly busy with 47 shoppers.
There is still space for you to join. The Pantry is open to everyone in Bromford and Hodge Hill.

Your Local Pantry is a Weekly Food Club Open to Everyone in our Community.
Thurday's 10am to 12noon
At Hodge Hill Church, 242 Coleshill Road, B36 8BG

4 Reasons to join the Pantry:
1) Pantry is a shop. You choose your items inc. fruit, veg, bread, tins, meat, Halal, toiletries.
2) It is open to everyone from Bromford and Hodge Hill ward. We are not a Foodbank.
3) For £5* you choose about £20 to £40 worth of products - saving you up to £1750 per year.
4) We are a community. We have a cafe, access to support, & a warm welcome.

To join you can log onto the website, scan the QR code or pop in on a Thursday.
*Price increase comes in on 7th May. It is currently £4 per shop, and £12 for 4 shops

We loved hosting this vital service and working in partnership.

An amazing response to the Cervical Screening Service at Hodge Hill Church (St Philip & St James C of E with Hodge Hill URC) and Your Local Pantry Hodge Hill. Over 20 people engaged and 17 screenings undertaken (so close to the record of 18!). The staff have been amazing and didn't stop all day. Looking forward to the next time on Bromford Drive where there will also be a Wellbeing Service offering a range of checks for Men and Women.

An experienced female nurse will be offering FREE smear tests at a mobile screening unit on Thursday 26 March, 9:30am–3:00pm.

✔ Quick test (usually 5 minutes)

✔ Private and confidential

✔ Onsite advice and support regarding cervical screening

Cervical screening helps prevent cervical cancer by detecting early changes. Many women delay their test, so this is a convenient opportunity to attend locally.

We strongly encourage you to attend if you are eligible.

CERVICAL CANCER SCREENING COMES TO YOU!!
Thursday 26th (Hodge Hill Church car park, Coleshill Road B36 8BG) from 9.30am to 3pm.
FRIENDLY FACES, FAST CHECKING, FIGHT CANCER!
We are excited to be working in partnership with the NHS to bring the Mobile Cervical Cancer Screening Van to the Pantry and Hodge Hill Church on Thursday 26th (Hodge Hill Church car park, Coleshill Road B36 8BG) from 9.30am to 3pm. You don't need to be a member of the Pantry to come. You will be welcome to come in and see what we offer and join!

Every Thursday we host our Pantry from 10am to 12noon. £4 per week for a selection of food. This is the range of bread, fruit and vegetables we had last week. We are passionate about providing healthy nutritional food so this is extra to your shop. Community is important so we have a free cafe and space to chat to others. We know support can be crucial so we have people who will listen and help you with things that you are struggling with. For more information click the link. You can join online or pop along to join.

Today is our last Pantry for the year.
We will be back on 8th January.

Really good to celebrate 1 million visits to the Your Local Pantry network across the country. That means 1m times people have been given dignity, choice and hope. Our Pantry is always open to new members. Drop in on a Thursday to join.

We love a Pantry tea on a Thursday evening 😋😋
Tonight it was a Arrabiata pasta bake with Ciabatta bread.
Our members regularly say they plan their meals around what they get from their weekly shop. Its a fantastic boost that most people could do with to ease the financial pressure. Plus its a great social space.

The Pantry is open to everyone who lives in Bromford and Hodge Hill Ward. We are open Thursdays 10am to 12noon. You can join and shop on your first visit.

Every week we have fruit and vegetables, Halal meat, other meat options, bread, milk, flour, cereals, tins*.
There is also a baked potato lunch, cakes, and drinks.
All for £4.

*we are reliant on our suppliers. Some weeks we can't offer everything, but you will always have a good range of food available.
