Not every woman experiences migration as opportunity. For many, it becomes a journey through vulnerability, exploitation, and survival.
On International Women’s Day, My Skill Not My Body honours women whose stories are often overlooked women navigating vulnerable migration journeys.
To those who were lured by false promises and found themselves trapped in exploitation or trafficking…
To those who arrived in unfamiliar lands carrying trauma, facing language barriers, immigration struggles, poverty, or homelessness…
We see you.
We hear you.
And your stories matter.
While global institutions such as the United Nations , IOM - UN Migration, and UN Women continue to raise awareness and respond to the challenges facing migrant and trafficked women, the work is far from finished.
International Women’s Day and Month is not only about celebration. It is also about commitment.
A commitment to advocate for dignity, protection, and real opportunities for women rebuilding their lives in unfamiliar lands. A commitment to ensure that women are valued for their skills, their strength, and their resilience, not their vulnerability.
At My Skill Not Body, we stand for a world where no woman or girl is forced to trade her body for survival, safety, or opportunity. We believe every woman deserves the chance to rebuild her life with dignity, healing, and access to opportunities that empower her future.
We honour the women who continue to rise, even when the world has tried to silence them.
You are not unseen.
You are not unheard.
And you are not alone.
Because every woman’s future should be built on her skills, not the exploitation of her body.
My Skill. Not My Body.
